Have you guys seen the secondary market price on him? Prices are skyrocketing now....

I am not surprised. The head sculpt on this figure is superb. It also has nice accessories and is eye catching (for me) due to the colors used on the costume.

I found this piece yesterday at a local store for its original list price brand new. I'm a pretty new collector with just a few figures and this one was further down my list because it had sold out before I started collecting. I didn't pull the trigger, but very well may go back and pick him up if he's still there.

Depending on how you plan to collect IMO I might seriously think about grabbing him. If you ever plan to get him. I wouldn't have said DS was high on my list either but picked him up re the excellent sculpt, costume, multiple accessories. HT isn't always so generous or so great with QC.

He's a serious attention getter on the shelf and displays surprisingly well with other figures. I'd never get pushy with another collector but just wish HT loved all its releases as much as this one. Also iconic in the comics (and I did like the DS movie and Ragnarok).

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Every time I've seen photos of this piece, or in person for the first time yesterday, I've been blown away. I enjoy the character and the movie was a lot of fun, he was just ranking lower on my priority list. After I get off work today I may stop on my way home and just grab him.

LOL if you get him put a few hours aside to work with him. You could spend hours with this fig and the accessories and frankly just appreciating when HT goes the extra mile. But if you don't - well figs aren't cheap:horror. I always gotta pick and choose:(. Kylo Ren was another iffy one for me but glad I got TFA Kylo thanks to his costume and shelf presence.

Call the shop, have them put it on hold, go get it as soon as they open. You won't regret it.

Not to be a contrarian, but while he really is as amazing as everyone says, sometimes you look at a masterpiece of a toy and it somehow doesn't do much for you. That's been the case with me, with Strange. His sculpt and tailoring and accessories are second to none, and I weirdly don't care. My Mezco One:12 Star Trek figures are capturing my imagination more, as is Hot Toys Joe Colton. (I often buy toys years after their release, ha ha).

Called 'em up. Placed him on hold. Picking up after work today.
Heck yeah, you won't be disappointed. Let us know what you think!

And in the off chance you are, I am confident you can at least get what you spent back.

But I highly doubt it - he pairs great with Thor, if you have him yet. I took pics last night with the DSLR I've been meaning to post when I get home.

Mr..
Doctor.
Mr Doctor?
It's Strange.
Maybe, who am i to judge.

Congrats and glad you feel you weren't steered wrong! I know, right:cool:? He may not be on the very top of a collector list, depending, but you get him and it's just - special. Sculpt, costume, accessories, detailing.:love I think he is a great offset to other figs too, bringing in the *mystical*.

That pic is awesome! The way the light pics up the rings and shadows his face, and the cloak flare! :clap:clap:clap
