Got my Doctor Strange in! He's better in hand as per usual. People aren't kidding when they say the cape is amazing; it looks really great.

I'm working on the shields and effects right now. Will post pictures when I'm done!

Custom magic shields complete! They aren't the most photogenic; some of the details don't show up well on camera. I wish they were a little more vibrant, but overall I'm quite pleased with the final result.

Only cost me $4.50 to do the transparency print at staples and a couple hours to cut and place little precise dabs of hot glue.

I'm going to get to work on the time spell right away; after I can upload the file with the effects correctly sized for the figure and everything if anybody else wants to do the same.

Edit: Also huge thanks to fellow freak Monte Williams; he gave me the dimensions of the Hot Toys shields and that was a great help in sizing these custom ones correctly!

And there's the time loop! Getting the hot glue on just right is super tedious; I hope it stays on but I'm sure I'll have to repair them every now and then.

Having these effects really elevates the figure for me. It's so much more satisfying with them on and it makes the figure that much more eye catching having green and orange in the mix.

Ended up having to redo the hot glue on the effects. Doesn't look quite as good now but they stay on way better.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

Well,

I love my Neca Hulk.

They announced their 1/4 Marvel line in July 2012 and it took 4 years and 3 months to release Hulk! 4 years and 3 months!

He's not perfect and Neca could've brought him closer to perfect if not for some odd design choices, but I love him nonetheless.

Good:
Largest Hulk Action Figure in the history of toys/collectibles, that's some historic **** right there
Face sculpt
Waist rotation
Pants better looking than expected
Paint

Bad:
Horrible baseline leg position hinders posing
Pants can get in the way of upper leg movement
No shoulder ratchet joints
Loose shoulder joint
Loose elbow joint
No ankle pivot
No closed mouth sculpt
No ab crunch
He's 1"-2" too short
Should've cost no more than $225.00, maybe even $200. But definately not $250

Even though the bad outweighs the good, I still think he's worth owning.

He's the Hulk and he's big...nuff said.

If you own the other 3 you simply can not deny yourself the Hulk.

If you have the room get him but be prepared to be frustrated with his base pose and lack of ankle pivot because of his size and weight.

That’s a great price for shipped he’s worth it for that price no doubt about that.

Re: NECA: 1/4 The Avengers

So after 15-16 months of ownership, has this review changed at all
With the gift card I have, I can get the hulk for $138 shipped
Probably gonna pull the trigger, save up more gift cards for spidey, down the road
$138 is a really great deal, I would absolutely go for it for that price.

After having mine for 15 months I still love him. Yeah his articulation isn't the greatest and I wish the joint construction was a little better but he still looks great, especially the head. Size is and will always be insanely impressive too.

Edit: also I've had a stand clamped to his thigh thus whole time for ease of mind; hasn't had a single fall yet! Just be careful when balancing him.

Thanks fellas

Warm it up, it actually has a very good articulation.
The hinge allows his head to lower and raise but the ball doesn't do too much. I wouldn't say barely moves but it's not very good either.

I also really wish I could get him to look farther left and right.
