Yeah ... much different suit.

I wonder how HT tackles this IM? There appears to be no seams and no joints?

By adding seams and joints that many people will certainly complain about. :lol

It's inevitable, it's a toy, not CGI... I'm sure they'll have their ways to hide them, but I'm getting it anyway as I understand the physical limitations of toys with articulation.

Who knows, maybe joints on the figure will help it look more 'realistic' compared to the movie? From the image above we may find it's one of those times where CGI moves a bit too far away from reality. Just because something can be textured and lit realistically doesn't mean that it will look like it really exists in the world when the laws of physics gets pushed too far; almost like how CGI characters sometimes look wrong in how they move when their weight and balance seems unnatural while in movement.

I'm sure HT will do it justice. they haven't disappointed with Avengers-brand Iron Man releases. I know some people didn't like the shoulder gap on XLV but at the moment that is still my favorite Iron Man... The only Iron Man I've been disappointed with recently is the Mark 3 re-release.

Considering the massive roster, I wonder how many characters will actually get produced. It's getting quite expensive and I think more collectors are picking and choosing which versions of characters they pick up, especially when new movies with the main characters are coming out every year or two. Unless there is a major difference as opposed to a slightly different costume or base, there's less incentive to buy every version that comes along, at least for me. Keep in mind that Avengers 4 is only a year behind and will probably include a few costume changes or upgrades.

Maybe HT will do them in waves and decide how deep to go into the lineup based on how well each wave sells. For example...

Wave 1:
Iron Man, Nomad (Captain America), Thor (variant portrait with eyepatch), Iron Spider-man, Black Widow, Thanos

Wave 2
Hulk, Starlord, Teen Groot and Rocket, Hawkeye (Ronin), War Machine, Ebony Maw

Wave 3
Black Panther (if costume is different enough), Winter Soldier, Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch, Vision (either human version or w/BD portrait), Corvus Glaive

Wave 4
Gamora, Nebula, Mantis, Loki, Proxima Midnight, Cull Obsidian

Drax would likely just be a change of pants. Okeyo and Shuri might get figs from the BP movie, although I'm hoping Shuri dons her own cool Black Panther costume. There might be another Hulkbuster depending on how the scene plays out in the movie.

Avengers 4
new suit Iron Man (you know something will be planned), Captain Marvel, Wasp, new version Captain America/Nomad, new version Thor, surprise character 1, surprise character 2

I bet that suit in the movie is like nanobots or something, creates like a body suit of armor, and may be stored in that new arc reactor we saw.

I'm still hoping it's more than just a change of pants for Drax. I'm praying for an upper body change / bulk upgrade. For IW 1&2 plus GotG 3.

I don't believe we have seen the Drax Vol2 proto at any of the more recent Cons. They must be working on the body :) :).....well I live in hope !!

I missed the Captain America Civil War version so really hope the Avengers 4 version is good and represents the whole series well.

Agree on the Drax body. The GotG1 version is terribly inaccurate.

On another note, if this happens all bets are off. https://screenrant.com/avengers-4-x-men-disney-fox-deal/.

I think putting in a scene or two of the FF would be relatively easy and set up that franchise. Silver Surfer and Galactus would probably be introduced in GotG 3 or could possibly even end up being the central storyline (although I'd hate to lose Warlock but maybe he can be introduced and then spun off into his own solo movie).

However, adding the X-Men to the narrative (let's say Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Iceman, Angel, Nightcrawler and a new Wolverine) would be a massive undertaking. Assuming a deal is announced by January, Marvel/Disney would only have about a year to pull it off unless they push the release back. That said, this would be the perfect opportunity and storyline to bring the merry mutants and the FF into the MCU. Other than McAvoy's Prof X and Fassbender's Magneto, I think Marvel should recast all the X-roles. Or they could wipe the slate clean and sunset the Singerverse once and for all. Would also be great to figure a way to make Wanda and Quicksilver mutants and children of Magneto again.

Honestly, did you see the rooster for IW? Adding even more characters would be way too much and would end up in a mess so hopefully they won't.

If it is true that after Avengers 4 it’ll be a "change of the guard" for the MCU actors, then I can totally buy the explanation above by Nexus. In that sense there will not be a huge addition of characters, more so a change of characters.

A lot of things need to come together though. However I would like to finally see a decent FF film with other characters.

I totally get that and I really feel the same. However, I feel they have enough on their plate as is with all these characters and I'd rather they introduce FF in a credit scene or after Avengers 4 than try to set up their future movies in IW. As soon as they try to set up to many future movies the movies get messy (hello Iron Man 2). It will be hard enough to make IW and Avengers 4 not look messy with the characters already confirmed so for a possible introduction of the Fantastic Four into the MCU I can only say ...

I had a similar thought to this also. I’m willing to bet that the Iron Spider suit is the same tech.

These new Iron Man suits get more and more organic .[emoji18][emoji107] Would love to see Stark just whip out his older mark vi suit

Not IW, but Avengers 4. We have no idea of that story line or which characters from IW will survive into that movie, so the roster could be trimmed down quite a bit by then. A4 could be a continuation of the Infinity Gauntlet, in which case an after credits tease of X-Men and/or FF might make the most sense. However it could be a Secret Wars type story, which would provide more flexibility for bringing in characters from other universes as part of the narrative. If Disney is buying Fox, they'll want to find a way to start integrating the X-Men and FF into the MCU as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

I don't think a "seam" is all that bad. In fact, a multiverse approach might be really interesting and a way for them to keep some of the original cast (Hugh, Reynolds, Lawrence, Holt, Mcavoy, etc.)

God, hopefully NOT. Imagine, they'd have to deal with the mess that Fox created (timeline, some awful casting choices) ... I don't wanna see a continuation of that, Apocalypse completely killed my interest in any of the X-Men films aside from Deadpool and Logan.

And really guys, bringing the current cast together in one/two movies and make that movie good, is an awful hard job and you want even more characters? God, I hope they can handle all the characters that are confirmed for the movies now. The more characters you get, the less time you have for story or a good pacing so really, more would be a horrible idea.

If they bring anyone else in, then that should be the Netflix guys. Show a news footage where **** goes down in New York and Daredevil, Jess & Co. help the civilians or show them watch the news or whatever.

Ugh, I really hope not. Pushes it way too far outside the realm of believability.

Absolutely, it's such a crazy idea I doubt the comics would've even tried it. Or some weird light based helmet thing that comes from a tiny ear mounted device.

The comics already did essentially the same thing when they gave him the liquid metal armor.

And Black Panther's suit looks to be the exact sort of nanite-based tech the other poster was suggesting.

Actually it would be more like the Bleeding Edge which actually WAS nanite based.
