In Demand Toys in the UK got their singles at the same time as their deluxe packs, so they're definitely out. They still have all three Drs too:

As for the whole Ecto thing it does seem like it's going **** up. The car appears to be too big and the element of risk involved with stocking it/ buying it will put off people who can find the money easily, never mind those who would have to scrape the cash together.

Where are all these articles you're reading Kuat? Would be interested to see them.

The likelihood is that BW will weigh up the number of preorders against the element of risk, and then place the project on house arrest like the '66 Batmobile.

Think, they've put money into the prototype to sell orders, and they have to get as close as possible to the prototype to satisfy customers. Yet, the prototype needs improving - the flat toy-like finish of the roof attachments and engine bay, for example. None of which sell 'high-end product'. And still, they have to reproduce that finish at least.

The only real selling factor is that nobody else is making an ECTO-1 is 1/6-ish scale.

I never thought any company would ever attempt to make this and i really hope they do because no one will ever try again if they don't. You make great points and i understand they do need a certain # of orders to move forward and some of the details are not as good as they could be to keep costs down. I would love more weathered paint but i can live with how it looks in the proto pics. I have my fingers crossed that this gets made and is on my shelf in the next couple of years.

I spent a little over 2 days shooting this review so I hope everyone enjoys it and I hope it answers some questions for you. The video is over One Hour long and I cover every single little details about the figures and the accessories and I show you how to properly assemble all of the various components. To summarize whether or not I recommend the figures, well - I can only recommend them if you are a die-hard Ghostbusters fan, they are without question the best set of Ghostbusters figures ever produced. But there are certain areas Blitzway did not deliver such as the head-sculpts - you're simply not going to receive the same head-sculpts that you all saw in the promotional images. There is a lot of pro's & Con's to this set and ultimately I hope my review helps you out. Enjoy

The specs for the Ecto say the body is ABS plastic not resin.

Nanjin was referring to all the bits and pieces, not the main body. The more parts that they could make from resin would save on expensive metal moulds.

Sideshow doesn't carry these do they? It would be nice to have a payment plan for Ecto-1 so I didn't have to shell out the $ all at once.

Timewalker will let you pay in 3 or 4 big installments. Which does make this a lot more tempting.
