Threezero Game of Thrones - Daenerys Targaryen!

I pre-ordered this based on the proto. Oh, well. Time to cancel. I can't keep throwing money at sub-par results.

Cancelling over the first (bad) photos seems overdramatic and makes me question if people who say such things actually purchased the figure on the first place.

If anything these pics feel rushed to be the first out with little effort from the photographer compared to his earlier work, just see his Tyrion photos.

Personally I can't wait for it to arrive, I like the character and license too much to let it pass. If in hand it is still as hideous as some say I will glady get a replacement head, having it repainted or print a damn picture of the actress for 100% likeness accuracy.

I think the pictures and the video are fine as far as quality goes. I have a pretty good feeling that these are indicative to what we'll get. For me, with the Hound it was obvious it was just the paint and the head was pretty much the same. Here, I just can't tell. Let's just hope this won't take another 3 weeks to ship.

Been reading some comments via FB saying that this is a different headsculpt than the proto. Why would they wanna throw away that good head and resculpt another subpar head to be used on the actual production? Just doesn’t make sense.

Paint can transform a sculpt. I'm sure it's the same one, just with subpar paint work. I'm just not sure if I wanna pay another $100+ to fix it... I'm already doing that with the Hound.

Threezero just cuts corners on paint. HT have a team of artists in South Korea who direct the paint app and do touch ups on each figure.

You guys should complain to Threezero to fix the paint before they ship.

The problem is that they promised something they can't delivery. Likeness is really tough to achieve, specially with mass production paintjobs. We already have many examples with Hot Toys figures that are very well done but don't look like the actors. Now Threezero figures are much cheaper than Hot Toys. And still their clothes are superb. I pulled off all Ned Stark clothes, and it's incredible how many unseen details are there, really top notch stuff. And the sculpts are usually good enough, and the paintjobs are decent, but throw away the goodness of the sculpt. So thinking that they'll achieve a better likeness than HT is wishful thinking at this moment. I'd honestly would prefer they increase prices if they can achieve a better paintjob. But I suspect they can't.

Yup, it's like trying to build the coolest X-mas tree ever and finish it by putting a random item on top.

Yeah, people just don't know what they're talking about. If there is a difference in the sculpt it's due to faulty molding.

Right. It's easy for some to just say "repaint" but for those of us whose purchases are few and far between due to monetary constraints it really sucks to end up with this product.

Well, time to add Threezero on the black list with Star Ace. Not everyone can afford to buy the figure and then spend another $100 to fix/repaint the figure. Ugh.

Agree with you there, these things aren't cheap and we shouldn't have to fork out extra to fix it. Prototype looked absolutely perfect - that was what sold me on ordering, now it just looks like one of those figures where 'you can tell who it's supposed to be'. Very disappointed, feel like I've ordered a figure of a Daenerys cosplayer rather than the actual character. I hope some better photos surface soon and change my mind.

Really worried now as to how the three Walking Dead ThreeZero figs which I also have on pre-order will turn out now!
