"Professor Xavier is walking!"

I was going to use the angsty Cyclops head for that last picture but my kid was begging me to play with my phone and I'd promised him he could and he was patient and well behaved so I just took a quick snap as is.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the figure. I don't think Picard holds his phaser as well as I'd like and even with the new peg, it's still kind of hard to plug his hands in and out(while as with Kirk and Spock it is zero trouble at all).

Still, Love him.

Just got an email from QMX Support. They have sent me a new head!

QMX said:
As requested, we are sending you a new head to replace the QMX 1:6 scale Picard figure head that has dye stains on the neck.

In order to minimize stains on the new head we suggest using a stain guard product on the inside of the tunic collar. Be careful not to get the stain guard on the outside of the costume as it will stain the burgundy parts of the tunic.

Another solution would be to use tape on the inside of the collar so the PVC head doesn't come into direct contact with the tunic neck.

We apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that QMx is making sure that this problem does not reoccur on future TNG releases.

The FedEx tracking # for your order is: XXXXXXX

Again we very much appreciate you patience while we sorted this matter out and look forward to your continued patronage.

Best Regards,"

Got the same email. Shouldn't they send us the stain guard though? We shouldn't have to pay out of our pocket to fix the problem.

I emailed QMX prior to SDCC and included pics of the staining. I received the auto-reply that they would return after SDCC but have not heard back yet.

I received my replacement Picard head today. Very nicely packaged and arrived safely. The flesh tone is much, much darker on this head, as are the eyebrows. The hair, however, is painted much more lightly (more flesh color showing through). I'm not sure yet whether or not I like it better than the original. But, at least it's not stained! Thank you, Qmx.

It's definitely worth it, Mike86, if you are a fan of the character and/or series.

The staining can be covered up, for the most part, with the collar. It still stinks that they put plastic around the neck after the fact, though. Seems like a slight insult to the collectors, as if they were trying to pull a fast one.

One last thing, be extremely careful with the rank pips. I thought I had lost mine when taking the figure out of the packaging, only to find them stuck to a finger (fortunately!) Other's have not been as fortunate...

"Make it so." :wink1:

Got my replacement last week! It looks great, the flesh tone seems a bit pinker and more natural, though the paint on the hair is quite light. I'm still glad of this fix though...Thanks QMX!

I hope they get the staining issue sorted quickly before Worf and Data come out. I can't imagine they'd want to send out a bunch of replacement heads again!

Don't forget Riker and Geordi

Any better deals on this than $173? I have a $25 promo code from entering one of Sideshow’s contests. That brings it to less than retail but after shipping is added in the saving isn’t as high. I do still want to add this to my collection though and see he’s in low stock at Sideshow.

Amazon has him for $166. I have a Amazon CC and I earn points with Amazon for every purchase I make. So I buy some figures from Amazon for really reasonable prices.

Ebay seller Maybang, is selling QmX Picard for $161.99, shipped (in USA). I bought mine there.

I returned my Picard due to having a really bad neck and the slow CS response. But I did like the figure. Now that replacement heads are here, I was thinking about getting it again to keep. Is QMX replacing all the heads in existing stock? Or do you have to order the figure, see what it looks like, and still request a replacement head?
