Thanksgiving week will hopefully help the movie, but alot is probably people saying. Positive things about it now, critics hurt it. But if. We spread the word out people will come

Of course, forgot about that. We don't have that here...just black Friday. :lol

Hopefully word of mouth is taking over.

For anyone who's seen the movie:
Spoiler Spoiler:

i'd say zero unless he comes back in another film

We can continue our civil conversation here- not bothering to go over to the movie thread and lower myself to a bunch of sniveling whiners:lol

Don't let our jokes keep you away and I can stop with the gifs and things if it's turning people off to the thread. I don't have any venom toward the film, I was just goofing around. Even with all the film's problems there are s good amount of us that still enjoy the movie for it's Super Friends cartoon vibe.

I even thought that Batman was pretty sweet in the film. Everyone treated him like crap and even attacked him or threatened to attack him and yet it was his ideas and tech that either directly or indirectly allowed everyone to save the world. I thought his tactical suit and vehicles were badass and wish we saw more of the batmobile in action.

I hope to get a black manta out of hot toys and ocean master. Shazam with Dr. Sivana and Mr. Mind. Wonder woman 2 circia cheetah. Flashpoint everyone but hope we get a Thomas Wayne. Death stroke, lex luthor. Black atom, hopefully sinestro or atrocious or red lanterns. Necron would rock. Bane Solomon Grundy. There is a lot of greatness probably coming

Slim to none I'd say. Mera would probably have a better chance, and she's slim to none as well.

Thanks Khev- I returned to the JL movie thread and it's gotten alittle more civil.....I just hate the bashing relentlessly on a movie that does not deserve that at all...but when it starts to become slightly personal in the rebuttals I'm out

I swear some people just follow what RT tell them to think. The audience scores show it's not a bad movie at all.

If they cut out a few of Whedon's lame jokes and restore 20-30 minutes of stuff Zack shot, especially for Cyborg and Barry, it could be much better still. Heres hoping they do that for a directors cut on the blu-ray.

I honestly don't think a full Zack Snyder cut would have all that different of a feel than what the film currently has, it'd just be longer. As I've stated before, I was still able to tell it was a Zack Snyder film; it still felt way more Snyder than Whedon to me. Regardless if Zack hadn't stepped aside, I think we still would have ended up with something close to the current theatrical rendition because I believe he asked Whedon to have some input even while he (Snyder) was still on the project. I don't think Whedon really changed all that much and simply just saw the rest of the film through in post production. Added a few things here and there, but I don't think he made any drastic changes.

As I stated, I don't think a full on Snyder cut would be all that different; just longer.

And for what it's worth, after seeing the film again yesterday, I'm leaning towards being all in on the JL figures. I honestly really had no intention of getting anyone, but I liked the film better than both Avengers films and I like the JL as a group in general better than I like the Avengers as a group, and I have a group AoU Avengers display, so it wouldn't make sense to not have a JL group display when I like the JL better. Whenever they add GL to the group, I would simply just add the figure to the display. :lol

I'm thinking Steppenwolf would make for a pretty badass figure as well, though I highly doubt HT would make him. I thought he was a cool/good villain.

I don't know, Snyder's MOS and BVS were pretty heavily stylized, with nearly every scene being carefully choreographed and edited along with the dramatic score, and I didn't feel that much at all with this movie. In fact most of it had the rather simple and TVish look of Whedon's Avengers movies.

If the studio were to let him do it, I think a Snyder cut of the movie would look and feel VERY different. Especially if he got to use his original composer.

If only.................:gah:

Absolutely agree. The tone is drastically different from BVS and MOS.

I would love a true Director's Cut (as opposed to an Ultimate Edition) of Justice League. The score especially could use some work. I mean... this would have worked and kept the tone of the other films. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=87&v=Ou0T5ENBag8

I do think the score, or lack there of, did play a large part in making it not feel as Snyder-esque for many. MoS and BvS I think had the best scores for modern day superhero films. The best parts of the JL score to me were hearing the brief bits of the classic 89 Batman theme and the 78 Superman theme, and then hearing Zimmer again when the team first entered the Kryptonian scout ship to revive Superman. This film didn't really have an iconic score of its own though as a whole.

Although my initial point with Snyder and Whedon was that even with Snyder still at the directing helm, he had hired on Whedon to add some input on and screenwrite some scenes. So what felt Whedon-esque as far as the scenes go I think was likely already going to be there in the first place. When Zack stepped aside, I don't think Whedon did too many drastic changes (thankfully). I'm certain he did change some of Zack's things here and there, but I don't believe he gave the film just a complete and utter overhaul and began rewriting scenes like crazy.

Bringing on Elfman for the score I think is the biggest change he made and what took away from the film the most as far as making it feel Snyder-esque, because we were accustomed to hearing the scores of Zimmer on MoS and Zimmer and Junkie XL on BvS, and those scores fit the films perfectly.

Having the same theatrical rendition of this film but with a completely different score done by say Junkie XL or Zimmer, I think could change the tone drastically without even altering anything scene wise. I missed hearing Clark Kent's theme from MoS and BvS in JL, especially at the part when he was attempting to regather his memories in the field at his farm and then reconnected with his mother, as well as at the end when they were moving her back into the Kent family home.
