If Sideshow were to re-releas this, I would pick it up. Not sure where it would go since it looks huge. Also hopeful they do a Wampa to go with the Tauntaun.

By far still the most impressive collectable i've ever purchased. I just can't wait to make a custom Sandtrooper sculpt and put that on top of my custom Marmit Sandtrooper figure I have setting on mine today.

I got in the 1/6 game a little late to score one of these and they are stupid expensive on the secondary market. This and the Jabba and throne setup would be gems in my collection. I will have these... one day.

The question was asked in their Live show today, they said they won't be rereleasing the Sixth Scale Dewback.

Booo Sideshow, Boooo ! So many bad decisions. Then again, they probably don't have a renewal of the Star Wars licence.

But if they do still have the licence why would you leave money on the table when the design etc is all done ??

Same goes for all their 1/6 classics like Hammerhead etc ? If HT is cleaning up with the OT core characters, why not go with the flow and re-release some of the old classic aliens etc which a lot of people who got into this hobby due to Hot Toys OT figures would buy ??

They just announced that they're re-releasing the Speeder Bike so I don't think the license is an issue. I'm sure other decisions are at play here. From what I recall reading, the dewback sat around at retail for quite some time.

And offer Pondo Baba and Dr Evazan to complete the seat as well as offer some Skiff Guards. Their aliens are some of their best work and chances pretty slim that HT will produce them.

If they make joint decisions with HT about figures to release - which I'm pretty sure they do as to not step on each other's toes - then they should do the aliens, dewback (want badly), minor droids, and large weapons like the E-web (Hoth rebel canon tower). I'm sure HT will always do the heroes, main villains and troopers. I would pick those up as would many.
I'd like to see SSC do more environment pieces too. Adding to the Dejarik Holochess table, things like moisture vaporators, Imperial crates, those orange kyber crystal crates... the Imperial Boardroom Table maybe??
SSC should just leave the human head sculpts to HT and handle everything else.
Maybe too much to ask? I dunno...

That's all logical thinking there. Not sure HT sells a lot (or enough) of all that extra stuff? I would like to see them make mini stands that accent the figure, like they did with the RTOJ Stormtrooper. Why no consoles for the Death Star Troopers?

That makes total sense DR37. From what I see Sideshow is moving away from 1/6 and more into statues etc. This is definitely more in line with sculpted environment pieces etc. I mean they've done this in the past too. Han & Greedo corner, Yoda Hut (I believe they were done by SS). But perhaps they made their "bad" ?? experience there. Who knows.

Seriously !!?? I missed that about the Speeder Bike. Is there any more news ? Timing estimate ??
