Ha that's interesting. Did you know "Tod" in German means dead/death. So I guess that's kind of fitting to a deadpan headsculpt.

But you're right the standard is amazing these days. Have you seen the latest Dr Strange figure pics ? Amazing !!

The problem with TOD Indy isn't the head sculpt, that's great (except the hair seam), it's just about everything else... Shameful!!

Doc Strange does look like a beauty, especially the costume... Just not a Cumberpatch fan...

I think this looks awesome, I wouldn't have PO'd if I didn't think it was. And for $229, that's more than reasonable considering you can achieve three different looks/display options with it.

I think the sculpt is about an 85%, which I think is a damn good likeness. In 1/6 scale, I would consider anything roughly 80%/8/10 and above to be a damn good portrait. I hope they don't tweak it at all actually and that this is what we get (though I'm sure final product will probably be slightly softer in detail) because I'm in the "if it's not broken, don't fix it" camp. 85% does leave slight room for improvement, yes, but as I said, roughly anything 80% and above in my opinion is damn good in 1/6 scale. I wouldn't want them tweaking it lest it ends up throwing something off.

I think it looks fantastic...only thing I don't like is the time we have to wait until we get him!

I think the Wonder Woman sculpt is a close second 9/10.

Do you mean the BvS or Training Armor? BvS I'd personally give an 8, but the TA proto I'd give a 9.5. Come to think of it, I'd actually bump this sculpt up to a 9 because I do think it's more than just half a point better than BvS WW.

MoS Jor-El and the first Ant-Man I think are other examples of perfect 10s. Same with SS Harley Quinn. The figures with the strongest likenesses as a whole are the DCEU figures in my opinion. BvS WW I think is the worst at an 8.

AntMan was great....Harley I liked everything but that gaping mouth really throws off the sculpt.....still great however.

I thought Harley's expression fit well with the character. Generally expressions showing teeth are a gamble because it can easily throw off a likeness, but I think they nailed it in this case.

All I'm saying is, people don't have to just be grateful and love everything that comes out, you can be displease and discuss why, it's when people start to act like some injustice has been done upon them that I take issue, it's an overly dramatic, unwarranted reaction over a luxury item. My girlfriend's 4 year old acts like that, he gets a new toy then complains about not getting the other one that goes with it, when he talks like that I tell him the one he did get can go back to the store if he's not going to appreciate it.

Hopefully the ESB or ROTJ Chewie is a complete overhaul. A nice Chewbacca would be a collection game changer.

But back to Luke. I really like the figure because there are so many posing options.

Thanks. The only one on there I'll change after thinking about it would be DX07 from a solid 8.5 to roughly an 8.5-9. I think it's a really good portrait of him in ESB personally and only a smidge below this RotJ Luke sculpt, but a smidge above Finn, which I gave a solid 8.5 as I think it's a good likeness (proto was better though, would have been a solid 9.5 or even a 10).

I'm keeping all of my Lukes, as I think it'd be cool to have the evolution of the character displayed from Farmboy to wise Jedi Master.

Wait.. There's people who think the likeness is actually off?! Lol. This is holy grail material and factually the most accurate Hamill sculpt from Jedi in any scale. Only thing people can have a problem with is his expression. Which makes no sense, cause he looked this way about 90% of the movie lol.

I totally agree. And there's many, many people that think Bespin Luke is THE Luke.

But Jedi Luke is the fully-realized Luke -- being the ultimate thing he is destined to be. I like Commander Skywalker. Somewhere in the middle. Some powers, but not all powerful. Still the underdog.

I though that Rey looked way closer than Han or ANH Luke..

After seeing the Jnix head sculpt, Han is one of the worst IMO.

ESB Luke is definitely my favourite phase for the character, and I love his look in that film.

As a kid, though, seeing ROTJ Luke blew my mind. Although ESB is my favourite SW film today, when I was a kid it was undoubtedly Jedi. Even now, I recognize the scenes with Luke, Vader and Palpatine as some of the best in the franchise. The film was flawed, but Luke's arc was everything it needed to be.

For that reason this is the Luke figure I've been waiting for. If I had a choice between this and a new Bespin Luke release, that would be a tough choice, but as it stands this was an easy preorder.

Honestly, I really like the looks of this figure and pre-ordered already. However, Luke's arms resemble Kermit the frog's in the photo you posted.

Those pics look great. But this one looks a bit Thurderbirds like to me.
