The main difference I see is the gold outlining on the BvS suit has more of a yellow gold with a weathered silverish tint to it, while the WW seemingly has more of a rich, rose gold color. The dark Crimson of the actual torso armor seems the same, as does the blue of the skirt. The gold outlining on the bottom of the blue skirt of the WW suit is also a more discernible gold color than on the BvS suit. BvS suit in general also has more scratches on it.

yeah, so the "prequel" armor is brighter than the bvs armor.
but it seems like Hot Toys used the brighter armor for the bvs figure?
:huh

Cool shots and info thanks guys.
However this figure comes out itll be pride of place, i just want a lil Gal Gadot to admire. Its going to be an eye catching piece.

Some that I had on my phone gallery:

The red seems to be a deeper hue than BvS.

Might as well add some JL:

But if you look at the figure......she looks like the wonder woman colour scheme, not the bvs colours. So how do you differentiate a wonder woman film specific figure now other than the sword and shield?

if they used the colors from those malaysia pictures for the final product,
then you could say they made a mistake because they used the prequel colors for the bvs figure.

so you could say that the colors of the HT bvs ww figure are wrong
those are the colors of the ww solo armor

With the exception of the discernible gold trim on the bottom edge of the blue skirt, I think this does seem to conform more to the BvS armor based on the images I posted of each suit on display under regular lighting at conventions. Both the dark Crimson of the torso armor and the blue of the skirt look relatively the same hue on both suits, but the gold color on any part of the suit on the BvS armor has more of a silverish, weathered yellow gold tint, while the gold color on the WW armor seems more rich by having almost more of a rose gold color to it.

The gold color on this figure seems to have a slight more of a silverish, weathered yellow gold tint to it, which I think coincides with the BvS suit.

I think the similarities in the outfit is in a way just further reason to do the figure. They like doing repaints and reusing parts, like Iron Man and Stormtroopers. The shield, sword, and scabbard will be further differences. Plus a potential new head sculpt with different expression if they wish. Her hair is also more wavy and fuller in my opinion. A bendable Lasso of Truth and cloak as well. I'm just hoping for one from WW, or even JL for any new additions or possible improvements.

Hot Toys always seems to do lighter colors, my Civil War Scarlet Witch and Cap have lighter colors than they do in the movies.

I personally think they did the opposite with BvS Superman. I think they made the blue of the suit slightly too dark, the way it actually looked under darker tones in the film, as opposed to the actual color of it under normal lighting which I think was a smidge lighter. Then I think they did the opposite with the cape in making the red a smidge too light. Red coloring of the boots and glyph (minus the pronounced dark outlining) appears to be spot on though.

ok, thats possible. but if they do a new figure for the wonder woman solo movie,
then the armor would look like 90% the same or even more brighter i guess

They could also give the WW figure a shinier finish. The colors would be mostly the same except for the shade of gold.

As mentioned, they could give the armor a glossier, smoother finish and have less scratches on it. Gold color would be a different hue as well.

She really needs to take better care of her armour. :lol

On this occasion I don't mind if HT have made the armour a little lighter than it was in BvS, I prefer the more vibrant look. They made the grey on Batman's suit too dark and as mentioned Superman's blue is probably a touch dark also. I wish they both were a little lighter. Those are minor nitpicks for two awesome figures of course and I'm sure WW will be no different if they ever release her!

I like the fact they haven't changed the costume just to sell toys.

You guys are right about bvs being a darker costume. Insta threw up this in my search, so sorry the resolution is bad, but it goes on to explain how the new costume designer wanted it to be lighter in weight but also in colour. Its only just readable, not sure where the article is from either.

My eyes are not that great but tried to copy out the fuzzy writing. This article must be from a magazine cos i can't find it online, but anyway here is the whole thing:

The overall look of Wonder Womans iconic armor had already been designed by Micheal Wilkinson for the characters appearance in Batman v Supernan Dawn of justice. Nevertheless Lindy Hemming and her team had considerable work to do to get the costume ready for shooting Wonder Woman. 'The costume that had already been made used a sculpted and moulded method' Hemming explains. 'They had made it in a mould and then the pieces were attached to an undersuit. We tried to make it lighter weight and easier to move in for Gal, because in Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice there was much less action to do. So we had to change it for those reasons. The costume in the previous film was darker and ours was just a bit lighter, but other than that we didn't change the design very much.
