Haha - paid premium mark-ups for my TWS - no regrets because 1) love and 2) last time I looked, a new - or even good "used" TWS is like Loki - new 400$, 500$ or more.

Re the OP since I own both - LOL can't help because I wouldn't give up either version, personally. Love both. For me it's like choosing my Stealth Cap vs. my CW Cap - just can't do it.

But if the OP can only do one Winter Soldier - I'd say get the CW version unless price is no object. 'Coz you can play w. the CW version more easily without having to worry about buttons popping off etc. Plus, as someone who was switching clothes around - except for the arm, the bodies seem to be the same. If money is no object I'd say get the TWS - not because the figure is what I think of as "better" but for the look - e.g., if someone mentions Winter Soldier imagine the first thing people think of is the ominous mask and weapons etc.

Love rooted hair. A good customizer could try, but HT didn't make it easy, gluing the hair to the face etc. I think HT needs to improve the sculpt likeness as well.

Gods, absolutely not. I hate how people always wanna give him rooted hair coz 95% of cases it looks horrible. I only ever saw 1 rooted hair version I really thought was an amazing improvement, all the others looked either hideous or just okay. The sculpted hair is totally fine here.

And I thought I should also mention, that I pose my WS a lot and he hasn't lost 1 button.

This figure would look 10 times better with rooted hair done correctly . The Winter soilder molded hair looks fake in terms of color fade . I'm always tempted to repaint it but I have no skills what so ever in that department .

Every time I think about selling this figure. I always look back at these pics. I hope to add rooted hair once I finish my commissions.

I'm not surprised the prices are high for this now. It's very similar to the Loki thing: the second version is stripped down in comparison to the first.

The WS version is still the best Bucky, IMO. The lack of a "clean" headsculpt is the only slight against it and the only area CW Bucky comes out ahead. The outfit on this one is more detailed, he's armed to the teeth. He has multiple looks (jaw mask, goggles).

For me personally, he also represents the superior film - I didn't like CW nearly as much as TWS.
