I think I might be able to withstand the awesomeness of this figure and just stick with the current ANH Leia, especially since she wears that same white dress at the end of RO and ESB. Nice bit of overlap with just the one figure considering the dress appears in my three favorite SW films.
As long as you don't buy a single non ot figure, then this is acceptable.

Oh, a new update to the slave Leia story... from November 2015.:lol

Why does everybody find the slave outfit so offensive? I get that they will never do something like this again, but it was just a bikini, and it was clearly very popular. I can't even imagine how well a Hot Toy would sell! Honestly to me its not that much different from new Harley Quinn.

Because America was settled by stuck-up Puritans.

I blame the feminists. They won't let us have our " slave leia " :pfft:

How many times are people going to keep bringing up that slave Leia BS? :slap The truth is out there (from Kathleen Kennedy herself) and I'm tired of linking to it.

Yep the whole "no more Slave Leia" conspiracy was pretty quickly debunked and even since the whole garbage story started Disney allowed the release of other items depicting "Slave Leia." Don't remember the details but I recall that this comic artist (obviously not sitting in on meetings regularly with the Walt Disney Company Board of Directors) simply did not know what he was talking about and ran off with an assumption based on them simply not choosing to use some art that he created that happened to show Slave Leia...

There's a Slave Leia product up for PO right now on Sideshow.

I'm just going to go on a limb and say we will get slave Leia by hot toys eventually. Its probably a logistical issue more than anything. Hot toys has seamless arms, but I'm not sure about legs/hips. That is why I'm interested in their wonder woman figure. So far I haven't seen any pics of that that show the legs bending.

so, with this release I am probably headed towards this display on my shelf...

Nice! I backpedalled on this like a waffling-wobbly-indecisive-retractor. When I looked at what I was doing with my shelf, in the end it made more sense to go with the arguably more iconic ANH version. What sucks about that is the more "iconic" price at this point, but I bit the bullet and overpaid dearly for it. :slap

On the bright side, it's gonna look great. :rock

I do hope the vest and jump suit for this wont be made with the same material used for the MGS3 the boss figure. It deteriorates badly and turns yellow-ish in humid countries such us ours.

nope! I've just done it a couple of times.

I only do it lastly, since I believe I have reached a point where if a figures comes in, another one must go out.

I really like how this line up looks, very ESB and very STAR WARS.

The stormtrooper will remain in another shelf, but it looks like the snowie is going out...

They had seamless knees with their Ada Wong figure, but a slave Leia would require a full seamless body (like a Phicen). HT have no previous experience with such a thing, and let's be honest, their reputation with rubber is questionable.

I doubt it, because they have Harley Quinn who is in short shorties and a torn almost see through shirt, besides I doubt feminists care or even know about a 'toy' that serves a niche market
I think its about two things, as one user mentioned, the practically of the seamless and flexible limbs may be very hard to execute
second is perhaps the idea of a person as a slave in chains is something a company would be hesitant to do

but hey you never know, you could be right :rotfl

A man has to know his limitations.
