Re-watched ESB last night and, whilst I think we can all agree this is great albeit off, I finally pinpointed what I think is annoying me most about it: the proportions.
Mainly head to body and the width of the body. He's too wide for his head although the head is also too wide I feel. Like the whole thing has been stretched.

I'd be interested to see a photo - how does the sideshow body compare to the HT? I feel like the HT is s little large.

The HT heads fit onto a ball joint that's about 3/16" diameter. The Hasbro one is a totally different system.
And Mrs. Vader needs to zip it.

You can use objective standards to measure wines and action figures, no? Personal taste is a factor but the criteria exist to measure these things. But I get that you're saying *qualitative* factors are sometimes difficult to measure.

And while one day I hope to ponder your wines question, the question for me right now is: is a $15 wine three times better than a $5 wine? Or should I spend months foregoing $10 wines in order to buy one $50 wine?
Wine prices are based on whether or not they're local (i.e. how far did it travel to get to you), brand recognition, regional perceptions and product class and quality, as well as local regulations and tariffs.
A $15 wine is probably around twice as good as a $5 bottle, generally speaking. I've drank, bought and sold A LOT of wine, so I can weigh in on that with some confidence.
You enjoy lower prices in the US, for the most part.

So interesting development, second batch of Yoda's have some differences...

Second batch, I hope. Hair is wispier and paint apps more subdued.

Looks the same to me. I think people sometimes misconstrue a second batch as being a second version.
However, there was a demonstrable difference in the ANH Solo stock sculpts between the first production run they did and the second. Second has better paint apps, improving the sculpt.

Side by side is subtle (V2 on the right has a more determined look instead of the sort of confused look the initial paint job kind of gave him in some shots), the biggest difference is that the initial prototype version was changed to the sculpt that these two use:
Then again, the difference there could simply be a figure to figure difference regardless of batch. Who knows?
I'd be inclined to say that's what the case is for Yoda regarding the picture on the previous page.
