Will there be a reissue of them? These sold out so quickly, can't find them anywhere (in Europe).
I have every single one of Asmus LOTR line figures, but these just sliped pass me, please Asmus make more!

They did a rerun of Saruman so who knows. I'll gladly pick up a Frodo if gets a separate release.

This may have been mentioned elsewhere, but I noticed on the insert that the edition size on these guys was 1000, whereas Merry and Pippin had an edition size of 1500, I suspect that may have something to do with you missing out. Sorry. :-(

That makes absolutely no sense at all... why would they make main characters in smaller run than the others less popular?

I think Merry & Pippin didn't sell as well as they'd hoped so when it came time to make Frodo & Sam, the production run was reduced. (But I could certainly be mistaken about that.)

That would seem to be the logical conclusion, but Merry and Pippen are nowhere to be found either.

True. Personally, if that was the reason, I think they may have pulled the trigger a little too quickly on the downsizing of the edition size.

But maybe they were afraid the hobbits would hang around without selling like Tauriel and Bard have.

So I finished Sam's base. Basing it off of his encounter with Shelob. Also did Pippins. I need to pick up a forth DX style stand for Merry's which I'm still debating on what I'm going to do for his.

That's the best I've seen anyone make Sam look. Good job. Mine should hopefully be arriving next week. But with Easter holidays it may get pushed back.

I didn't get them either. Thought I had them ordered through Sideshow but didn't get them. Sucks! Now I'll end up having to overpay for them.

I don't get Asmus policy on edition size. The overproduce Hobbit line which not so many people care about, but when it comes to Frodo and Sam (key LOTR characters), they make only 1000. Who makes a call like that?!

If anyone knows where I can get a set of these other than eBay please let me know. Thanks!

I spent an hour and a half last night picking through Google looking for any place that had them. I found two places:

Imagination Hobby

and

Toy Squared

Both of which are based in Canada, but shipping looked to be cheaper through Toy[SUP]2[/SUP]. Not sure if that helps, but it's not ebay!

Finally got my set, it's not perfect but I am overall pretty happy with it. With Legolas being announced, my dream of completing the fellowship might be reality after all.

That was a good and fair review. Kudos on the low number, too! Regardless of sculpt (which they continue to improve) I feel like I get more bang for my buck with Asmus and their LOTR line. I purchased my first Asmus figure (GTG) Feb 28th thanks to your review on YouTube and, fast forward 1 month and almost two weeks, I'm now up to 7 LOTR Asmus figures with a pre-ordered Legolas. I'm pretty invested in this line now. Keep up the good reviews!
