Yep. I enjoyed Let Me In much more than Let the Right One In. I felt it had superior performances, tone, script and cinematography. That was the film when I started to pay attention to Reeves as a filmmaker.

I usually loathe remakes. But Reeves nailed it. He brought more heart to the relationship between the kids. It really surprised me.

Cardbacks were sometimes better than the actual figure you got. It was like it's own little wishlists.

I loved those Hasbro and Kenner catalog booklets that came with vehicles and playsets.

Yup, all we had was the back of the GIJoe card.....

Funny enough, I just ran across a list I made probably in 1989. When I fantasized about Joes I lusted after but couldn't have, which was fueled by cardbacks and episodes of the cartoon that I had on vhs . I hated having to settle for Tiger force repaints [emoji38]
