Just wondering because it sounded funny and I can't see your tweets.

But I agree with your sentiments that they should be doing more with the Terminator licence than what they are currently doing. Its just weird that its huge enough as the other two IMO so why are they not doing more with it ? The dreaded likeness rights issue again.

As for John Connor, would you guys be happy if they gave you the Sarah Connor Chronicles version that came with the female terminator played by Summer ? Or are we def wanting the T2 actor ?

Furlong all the way. I don't care that he had an annoying voice or overacted a few of his lines. It's about fully representing the very best Terminator films for me. So I'd also rather have T1 Linda Hamilton over Genisys Sarah Connor or even TSCC Sarah Connor, good as she was. In any case T2 John and T1 Sarah would be much more likely to be made than other versions.

Nah, I deleted them after it was over like I've always done.

It started out like this. Someone posted a pic of their Terminator collection, said all it needs is a John and Reese or something. Randy was like "we'd love to, but they're hard sales, wouldn't do well". I chimed in and was like "tell that to all the candy Aliens shelf warming the stores. If Newt can sell and move product, so can John and Reese". He was like "the only Alien that's moving slowly is the face hugger queen, Newt was a two pack and exclusive, that doesn't count". Then I was like "put John Connor in a two pack with Arnold. Put Reese in a pack with an Endo". Then I saw he wasn't replying to me anymore and let it go.

Then NECA fanboys started chiming in with their eye rolling emojis saying I don't know about sales and that I should shut up. Randy couldn't resist and retweeted/liked/ and replied to them. So me being me, I responded "hey, I got Randy to admit that an Alien is a poor seller. I must know something about sales!" and Randy and his boys got all pissy with me. Then I was just like "you Alien and Predator bros are lucky, we Terminator fans are getting shafted, all we get are new legs" and Randy was like "We MAKE PLENTY OF NEW STUFF SARAH CONNOR, CINEMACHINES AND A QS ARNOLD, you're treadin' the line pal, keep it up and I'll block you". Finally, I was just like "that QS is about as new as a Gentle Giant Jumbo figure" and he blocked.

It was all petty. The people grovelling at Randy's feet were worse than he was. I saw some dude was politely defending me on there and they all attacked him and he blocked him.

I wasn't the first and I won't be the last.

As for John Connor, would you guys be happy if they gave you the Sarah Connor Chronicles version that came with the female terminator played by Summer ? Or are we def wanting the T2 actor ?

There are only two John Connor figures I'd buy.

Hint: They're both from T2.

His lack of response to the logical suggestion that they release John in the same way that they released Newt might be a good sign. Could be he's trying to throw us off as he has done in the past - just so as it will come as a bigger surprise if/when it happens. Least I hope so - that ****ing Endo-arm is from something we haven't seen yet. But yeah if John doesn't come out this year of all years then wtf. Will they even still have the license when the 30th anniversary comes around. The next big year after that will be 2029 FFS!

I thought this too. I also thought it was weird how he brought up Future Reese when nobody on there even suggested that yesterday.

If that is the case, and John and/or Reese are shown in the next 9 months, then he argued with me and blocked a customer over nothing. I still don't get it. Everything I said was true.

But yeah, he lies all the time on there. Just last month people were like "hey, you're doing Ali vs Superman figures, how about Batman vs Predator". It's completely logical and a nobrainer. Then he was all "CAN'T DO THOSE, NOT HAPPENING". Then they ****ing pop this past week and it's like, at the time of those tweets you clearly had those planned there buddy. He's done this with Planet of the Apes, 7" DC movie figures, everything. I just don't get. If you want to keep it a secret, ok, that's cool, we get it. Just don't respond to anyone's inquiries. You can be mum without lying to people.

So lets say at SDCC John or Kyle pop up, why the hell did he fight with fans that wanted it only months earlier and tell them "ohhh, it wouldn't do well, not happening"?

I had the same experience about 2 years ago. I asked if they would make any of the other soldiers from Predator 1 or Harrigan from Predator 2. Randy and his fanboys gave me every excuse in the book about why those characters "wouldn't sell" and how "Arnold is the only real action star from the movies." They mass produced a 1/4 scale figure of the "Big Red" Predator from an indie fan film and made some nameless Weyland-Yutani commando from Alien 3, but the star of the 2nd Predator movie "wouldn't sell." I brought up the possibility of 2 packs and variants they could do to justify making them. After hours of the fanboys telling me how NECA fulfills everyone's wish and can do no wrong, Randy came right out with it and just admitted he hated the Predator 2 and blocked me.

I simply do not believe this stuff about what will or won't sell. The people who buy these figures are mostly the longtime (in many cases older) fans and if they make one of a character that has never been done before, it's fresh and more sought after. It's actually pretty mindblowing to me he takes the same stance about making a John Connor from T2. Kyle Reese was the playable character in $60 retail price Sega CD and Genesis games in the '90s. Won't sell?

Yeah I think Randy is playing us, or at least I hope so. Give us John and future war Reese. I'd be happy if those were the last two they ever made. I suppose id buy a battle damaged Terminator from T3, but I know NECA has no interest in that license.

I've very much gotten the impression he would make the P1 soldiers if he could. Whatever Randy's stance may have been in years past I think it changed. They've pursued Carl Weathers and he never responded. Not much NECA can do if the actors aren't interested. In situations like that I don't blame them.

Where I would try to persuade them is with the likes of John Connor and Harrigan - there appears to be no actor likeness barrier* and it's instead a case of no interest on Randy's part and/or fear about low sales.

*at least for John Connor, seems for Harrigan we don't know because they haven't tried. When asked if they had contacted Glover about it the answer was no whereas he recently said they theoretically could make John Connor

That's a cruel scenario to put me in because of course while Terminator is as big of a deal as it is to me...the entire special forces team from P1 on the shelf would be...dayum.

As for Jenelle and other Terminator side-characters, I really wouldn't bother asking, I am somewhat realistic in my expectations Make John Connor, the last remaining main character and I'll be happy.

Honestly if any licenses are gonna get preferential treatment over Terminator I find it the least bothersome that it's Aliens and Predator as they are also among my favourite movies.

But even then, it's still mostly garish variants that aren't even from the movies that I don't think you're interested in.

What did they make that you liked in the past year? Vasquez, Frost, Newt, and City Hunter? That's like 1/4 of what their output.
