Polystone is plastic :wink1:

If this Sandtrooper is similar to the Stormtrooper PF, then it is the same resin used in the body

wow polystone is plastic!! AMAZING INSIGHT!! thanks for the response genius :duh

let's get a reply from someone who actually owns this. thx

Helmet is solid and has a weight to it compared to vader and boba. But sandy helmet is not articulated.

Polystone is plastic, do your own research, noob. :lecture

Yup, it's plastic.

Also the stigma with "plastic" is unfounded.

Polystone was a preferred material in the past because it was better at pulling detail. PVC back in the day would also degrade quite quickly, and both PVC and ABS generally had some pretty bad seam lines. However nowadays ABS and PVC can look better then polystone and which you have a better detailed, more durable, and usually costs more too boot. There's a good reason why it's used exclusively for faces by companies that do it the best like blitz and HT. Seriously polystone is CHEAP. They basically take the cheapest resin possibly and throw in some additives. Since it no longer provides the best level of detail it actually is one of the worst materials to use. Of course it's what we're all used to, and we like our weight (even though they slushcast everything nowadays) so it's hard to get over the stigma about "plastic". When in fact you are actually holding up this industry from moving forward with better looking and longer lasting collectibles. GJ everyone :p

Thank you, this is what I was trying to understand. Good to know it isn't the same as Boba Fett.

LOL!! Aaaawwwwwww did my sarcasm upset your fragile feelings?

You call that that sarcasm? LOL :lol:lol My girlfriend's three legged cat has more sarcasm than you. But I can bet your resin brain you didn't know polystone is just a type of plastic, and all this made you act like a spoiled frustrated kid. Just relax and take a pill:

Well, I finally got this thing paid off, & now it's here. This was the most complicated piece I've put together. It ain't gonna be fun to take apart, the next time I move, that's for sure. I'm very happy that I got MYC's binoculars! Thanks to the head NOT being able to move (what the Hell were you thinking SS?!), they are a hidden gem on this piece - like the backpack. All in all.... I like it. However, like many of the SS pieces, this one will have to "grow" on me.
I'll post pictures soon, but it'll probably be after Christmas.

Mine just arrived and I have to admit this is very underrated piece. I was debating this for a while based on the comments and reviews, but It looks excellent in person, great detail, good sculpt and thank god the head is not PVC (plastic!) LMAO!!

Anyone who is on the fence on this one I definitely recommend grabbing one.

I like it. Is it a perfect representation? No. But I do like it. & I must say MYC's monoculars are such an awesome addition to this piece.

It's too bad this statue looks like and from what I hear had the pose compromised and changed. The whole stance is off particularly the left leg looks awkward. The trooper looks like he hasn't eaten for months aswell. Apart from this it's a great piece.

Yeah I love mine too. It looks far better in person than any pics I've seen. Just one of those statues.

Hi mates. I recent buyed this piece and i have a question..

Does the gun fit in all left hand? on mine it has some space left .. just look at the pictures.

Most, if not all seem to be that way. Some have been brave and tried to bend it to fit but no way I was going that route. I simply have mine on a lower shelf, which masks the gap.

^^^^ the fingers flex, you can comfortably push it in another 1/8"-1/4" or so, but I wouldn't force it beyond that.

Mine was like that, I didn't want to resort to bending the fingers but eventually I caved and was just super careful and gentle. Worked out fine, his gun now fits reasonably well in his hand.

Mine sits down in the hand but I don't think it was meant to all the way. I just think it's meant to be like it's held up a little.
