I stopped by my local waste of a TRU yesterday and they actually had some newish stuff! Ripley/Newt 2 packs, concrete jungle pred, gitd aliens and the one thing I was looking for the ultimate T 1000 motorcycle cop. I grabbed a T 1000 and went happily on my way.

Good to know..how did the Ripley look in person, along with the Concrete pred :dunno

Both Ripley/newt 2 packs and the CJ preds looked good but 2 of the 3 ultimate motorcycle cops had wonky eyes on the head without the helmet. Luckily I found 1 ultimate MC that looked perfect.

I received Spiked Tail and Stalker as christmas gifts, and I like them both. Very unusual but awesome designs imo. I never had the vintage kenner versions even though they would have been in stores when I was a kid.

I love spiked tail's cannon and his headsculpt with the bendable braid. I also like how neca was able to combine some reused parts with new parts to make him stand out from other predators. I'm very impressed with how they managed to take a rather laughable looking figure that kenner made and turn it into a plausible predator design. Same goes for stalker. The glow in the dark body is awesome, it works surprisingly well. Both are fun figures.

My only complaint with them is that neca still needs to improve the leg joints on their predators. The hips, ankles, and knees become loose way too quickly. The knees on spiked tail are still tight, but stalker's are very wobbly. Makes him hard to stand.

I do like the new arm articulation. It functions a lot better on these bodies than it does on the avp body. Really looking forward to those new ultimate versions of the Jungle and City hunters.

the neca 1/4 city hunter's spear are not collapsed?
just a short spear?
the old version(2012)was a collapsed spear
what the f....

Yep some odd reason they changed his accessory.

Use clear nail polish with tighten up joints. Or pledge floor cleaner.

but the neca's website say the new vision(with LED)
"Comes with interchangeable hands, throwing disc and collapsed spear accessories. Uses button cell batteries, included."
if they did not included collapsed spear, couldn't say that.right?

Yeah collapsed spear which means closed spear. If it was the spear that came with the original masked CH it would say extended spear.

The old v1 1/4 Masked City Hunter came with an extendable spear. The unmasked version came with a completely collapsed spear. Pretty sure Gort came with the extendable spear, and Ram came with the collapsed as well. Seems NECA put in the collapsed spear due it being a less complicated accessory to produce to make up for the extra cost of the LED tooling.

Yeah. I only have two 7" preds. Stalker and Cracked Tusk, and Stalker has fallen over due to loose hips at least three times. Cracked Tusk is sturdy.

Don't know if this is good or bad, but Calendars has canceled my order for the 1/4 City Predator; out of stock. I already have the previous release but ordered this when they had their free shipping and 40% discount. Figured I could use it to attempt some bio mask experimentations. I read about the LED button design after I ordered and wasn't sure how I felt about the purchase. Perhaps a blessing in disguise.

This seems to be a recurring thing with Calendars. A bunch of people in the 1990 Turtles thread had orders cancelled. They seem to take orders without knowing for sure they'll even have the stock.

Which kind of worries me about ordering items though them. Based on what I've read the cancellations seem random. I don't want to count on Calendars to ship something to me only to be cancelled right before release. I know the payoff can be great with their discounts and free shipping, but having to scrounge around for an item when you placed an order in good faith isn't cool.
In all the time I've been collecting I think I've only had one other retailer cancel an order because they could not fulfill the order.
Calendars, at this point, looks like it could be a regular practice.

It is they canceled both my Donnie and Catwoman. Even though I ordered them the same day they went up on Thier site.

I found a old version which had a extended spear
which version (new or old) is better to have?
any compared?

That's really up to you. The old one has the extendable spear. The new version has the collapsed spear, removable net gun and a new hand to hold it with, a tiny accessory to display the wrist launcher on his left gauntlet and the light gimmick in the left gauntlet and helmet. The helmet itself is a trade off. The original had a rougher texture which made it look more AVPish than P2. New one has a slightly smoother texture, and better paint (it's still WAY off in terms of accuracy), but it has a really ugly button for the light gimmick on the right side.

Other than that, the figures are pretty much identical. It's up to you to figure out which one you prefer, because neither of them are really definitive. Both have something the other doesn't.
