But... aren't you the guy who put his hand up for Baze and cassian figures? Surely two of THE most boring looking and un-SW characters ever put onscreen?

I mean charitably, Baze looks like a Ghostbuster cosplayer who had to use his shopvac as backpack and Cassian's most-seen outfit looks like a Battlestar Galactica background extra. And don't get me started on Rook, another one you were touting as a fig. His outfit in total is a dull-grey background Imperial mechanic's jumpsuit and a khaki tactical vest.:slap

I mean seriously - is it the unshowered and unshaven look that makes these guys shine and Dengar the toilet paper mummy? To each his own, but at least Dengar has stood the test of time as one of the iconic bounty hunters - being made dozens of times as a collectible.:dunno

This exactly! LOL

I was always meh on Dengar until I read tales of the bounty hunters and he became one of my favorites. I'll be picking this one up for sure

I don't want it anyways but not releasing until 2018? Really? I don't see how with the limited amount of sixth scale figures they do it takes Sideshow so long to release products. I realize they have output besides their figures but I'm guessing it's not all done at the same factory. Just seems crazy to put something up for pre-order and it won't be out for a year and a half. Hot Toys takes a long time too but they also produce a lot more.

Why even put this up for preorder when it's not due out till 2018? Does the price include SS projected inflation for 2018? $239 seems crazy to me, sorry. I just don't understand what takes so long to get him out.

2018? :lol By the time this is released the rest of the bounty hunters will probably be around $150 each on ebay.

He's basically a toilet paper mummy with some armor on. Horrible design for a character, regardless if it was the 80's or not. Honestly, I hate the designer for all of the Bounty Hunters in the OT except Boba. 4-LOM, a robot that looks like a giant fly, nice.

Actually filmed in the 70's and released in 1980 lol. Not sure if that helps any.

On the other hand, when he will be available at my local retail store (and he will be like the rest of BH) i will take flex payment and that will be a few bucks per month thanks his late release.

Pretty much and how many more movies and figures to come will bury dengars release and excitement, just my opinion. I am a fan since 1977, but not rushing to order. Price too steep for my taste.

Why on earth would you reveal a product TWO YEARS before you plan to ship it? Why not just develop it internally, then reveal it 6 months before ship date, and put it up for PO 3-4 months before ship date? SSC doesn't use PO's as an indicator of demand any more - they set aside that old model years ago (though I guess are trying to bring it back with NRD's in the past year.)

And no, I don't expect SideshowAlex to answer this question.:lol

And it's a standard thing now, not even really to be discussed anymore - but there's still a surreal, bad-dreamlike quality to seeing $240 next to a fairly straight-down-the-line Sideshow 1/6 figure.:horror

If you were a real masochist you could spring for the $700 bane premium format they put up today:horror

I don't know if it's other people becoming fabulously wealthy or me becoming poorer, but I can't understand what's legitimizing these prices that to me seem so, so, so out of whack - but I guess people buy them, so I guess it's me becoming poorer.:lecture

Whatever - I'm making the majority of my 1/6 SW figures from now on - TalibaneFreaks.com all the way.:lol
