Unless you have a unlimited budget and huge house i would slim down and maybe just collect one line. I have loved star wars since i was a kid but that is a never ending money pit trying to keep up with all these new films and all the figures HT puts out for them. I picked up the new hope figures and i'm done.

I really wish I could, but there's so much temptation these days. I just got into this hobby in late 2013/early 2014 with a pre-order for the die-cast Mark 42. That was followed up with buying the War Machine Mark II die-cast outright. It's been a never-ending accumulation of figures since then. I think I own about 50 or 51 at this point. I didn't want to even start with Star Wars, honestly, but same thing - once you have one, others follow. Eventually, I probably will have to scale back or trade off figures for other figures so that the collection stays at a manageable size. One day, I may even lose interest, but for now, it is exciting to me. Like many here, I wish I had more space and money.

Waitlist just converted for me. Not sure when it went on the waitlist, but I ordered Oct 21st.

I was in the same boat on wanting everything. I started collecting hot toys in March of last year. Up to almost 60 figures now. I was buying just about anything I liked initially, but space was becoming an issue as well as money. I'm sticking with just marvel figures now, and primarily Iron Man.

I never let space sway my decisions (fortunately).

But money and display options are what I weigh most.

Lucky for me, I only really collect iron man/war machine armors, villains or foe's, star wars bad guys/troopers, and occasionally I'll pick up a hot toys batman figure.

I've been trying to keep my collecting habits streamlined.

Hot toys- armors/Star Wars villains/troopers

Non 1/6
Batman- batman the animated series figures.
Transformers- masterpiece.
Ninja turtles- figuarts (hopefully the line gains traction) and am thinking about going in on the 1/4 neca versions, I really wish they'd release them in their 7" scale. I hate when companies with substandard products has a license to a franchise I like and pumps out mediocre figures when there's a different company who could do it a whole lot more justice.
Ghostbusters- undecided.. I sort of want the blitzway figures.. But in a perfect world bandai would release figuarts versions of them. I guess we'll see.

I also pick up other things here and there like figuarts Star Wars, main line transformers, etc. But what I've listed are my main focus, and when money comes into play, lines that I actively collect will win out over something I'd like to get but isn't necessary for my collection.

There's plenty of stuff I'd love to own but just don't have the money for.. Like the blitzway ghostbusters, they look nice, I just can't justify getting them.

I'd LOVE to collect macross figures, I have no attachment to the source material, but the figures look incredible. They're just way too pricy.

Anyways. I love all of the iron man and war machine armors, I have yet to regret getting any of them, and judging by war machine mk 1, it seems they're only bound to get better.

Dumb question, if your waitlist converts before the item is released, are you charged the full amount or just the NRD?

Still a ways to go (sadly).

I wonder if it'll release overseas in January or February.

Ever since mark 1 arrived, I've been dying to see how this turns out. If it's built similarly, I project this to 100% be my favorite war machine figure.

A lot of conversions recently for this

I got conversion on this as well. One weird status came up on Sideshow - it says "Item in Production." Anyone else get this one on their account in the Status column?

looks like its up for preorder again at sideshow, it does'nt show on ssc's site but i googled hot toys war machine mk3 and one of the sites that showed up was ssc i clicked on the link and it read "preorder" and not "join waitlist". so i finally got my preorder for wm! :yess:

Wait, so there were a lot of waitlist conversions, and then after everyone's order became official, it's back up on their website in a full size run pre-order.... isn't this similar to what happened with the "Last Chance/Low Stock" orders for the Steve Rogers set 2 years ago?? Can we get Sideshow to do a full refund w/ NRD so that we can order with a coupon or reward points? This is not right..... :monkey4

I'm sure you could since it was delayed. Call, cancel, get your NRD back and reorder with points or whatever.
