If this is true, I'm cancelling my order.

There's a chance he might have missed, but the cow still ended up as roast beef...

Just snagged this pic off Instagram. (Courtesy of Ubumaru). Looks very good imo. Light appears natural. I can't stand it though that these people only keep posting one pic at a time on Instagram. All I want is one natural lit pic of a full frontal...his face that is. Lol.

And then this one by tadasix1029 on Instagram, where the lighting now makes the alternate figure look like ****. Lol. Red coat looks great again though. Damn this lighting/filter. F'n yellow/green?! Who does this ****. Lol.

In the film it works. However I'm a big fan of natural daylight for my figure displays. It brings out the accuracy of the color in the figures and paint applications. I need to see this figure as is without any extreme elements added to it.

Pics at angles like that seem to look the best. Since the eyes are a problem it seems necessary to either have them in shadow or for the figure to be viewed from afar.

I'm still convinced the likeness is actually nailed in the sculpt and it's just the damn paint throwing it.

I agree. But I still think it's the photos too. I can't wait to get this thing and put it to work. Lol

Neny Dee approves:

"The only thing i may complain about is the fact that blitzway portraied a mid 30's Pitt but ge was in his mid 20's when he did fight club so we have a rather aged portrait but it's just nitpicking"

Brad Pitt was 35/36 when he did Fight Club.

I have such mixed feelings about this figure...in fact in all of my years of collecting I do not think I have ever been so conflicted...I think it all comes down to getting a prototype that appeared to be a Hot Toys Killer that sent expectations through the roof and now having to deal with the reality of what is probably a perfectly fine figure but one that really falls short of what the prototype promised. I know some say that this happens a lot with Hot Toys but I guess I just have not experienced it personally with the figures that I have followed from prototype to production...

Hot Toys John Matrix (Commando) comes to mind as a figure that had a noticeable drop in quality from its prototype.

The pics of this figure are all over the place. In some he looks purdy good yet in others dank. (the hair is pretty weak sauce in all though)

Perhaps some sloppy ones did get out hence BW's recall or whatever they are doing.

Yep...I think my personal tastes and perceptions have allowed me to avoid it...its all subjective of course but I was one of the few who was celebrating when the HT Han Solo dramatically changed from the proto! Still love that figure!

It's the same with any figure. I remember when Chewbacca was released there were washed out photos of his face taken with full flash where he looked utterly stoned.

Yup. Also,

Luke Skywalker
T-800 PS
Robocop was wrong color
Toyfair Batman BW sculpt took a big hit
