I still don't understand the need or want for another 1:1 Predator 1987 bust.

I just don't get it. It's a perfect bust. Is it that we as collectors feel the need to have something new all the time? Is it that you do not own it and don't want to pay a little more that it was when it was offered 10 years ago? Is it that you feel Cool Props could do better?

Exactly Collectorcol,

That's the same reason I want one. Its as simple as that.

Overpriced SSC listed P1 busts is probably the biggest gripe I have. I can understand someone wanting to make some money on a collectible , that's fair enough. But a lot of what you see is pure greed, unfortunately.
At the same time I also realise that there is no law against that either. And any seller is entitled to put a price he feels he can get for a collectible.

It just give us Pred collectors another fair chance to own one. Too add the piece to our collections we missed out on at the time.

A little more? I think every one of those busts I've seen in the aftermarket has been at least $2k, if not $2.5k or more. We just wanna flood the market man. Everyone gets p1 bust. EVERYONE.

The fact something very good exists is no reason for others not to attempt to better it. And given the collectible nature of this hobby, new versions are appreciated for other reasons, especially after a decade or so. Even though I've been collecting longer than that, I couldn't have imagined paying so much money for a collectible at that time... Things change.

I would never pay this extrem overpriced ebayprices. If you can wait everything comes again..and when you have luck in a better and more acurate version.
You can see that on the Celtic Predatormask...thanks Coolprops.:)
I also missed the P1 bust from sideshow and would be happy to get one for a normal price.

Oh and the P2 bust looks awesome. This will be a holy grail of my collection!:clap

Missed out on the SS P1.

Everytime one appears on eBay they're damaged/unboxed/overpriced.

I understand missing out. I've missed out many of times.

But everytime I missed out, I tracked down the piece at the best possible price/condition and added it to my collection.

It's part of the fun of collecting, ya know?

While I see you point about jot wanting to pay the current price, but it is not overpriced.

For what it is, it's a very fair price.

Exactly. Really quite easy to understand. Lol

Realistically, as a collector I'm having trouble understanding your point of view

What you are saying is, you want a collectible company to cater to you, because you don't want to pay market value for an I demand product.

Ive seen these bust go anywhere from $4000+ to $1500

There is a certain unique collecting joy one obtains by finally securin that eking sold out dream piece...but it seems you guys never experienced that.

It's like collectibles on demand, it's ****ing ridiculous.

I have my little slice of joy, it's the 1/4 P1 maquette. Sideshow are making another one and it in no way shape or form undermines the first, or my happiness to finally own it. We get your point of view, we just don't have to agree with it. Statues by their very nature have a static look, not everybody likes a chosen pose or even outfit ect. I don't think it hurts to have two or more versions of something as long as they both bring something to the table. Plus it has been a very long time since the first one released, things move on, production techniques have improved immensely. I'm looking forward to seeing what Coolprops can do with this popular character. I imagine the guys who already own and love the original SWS version will continue to enjoy it regardless...

I need an accurate/undamaged P1 life size bust under $1500. Simple as that.
I did miss out once when last year there was a chance to get it around that price range. And I doubt it will ever happen again.
So, go ahead coolprops, make one or make an exact one.

I like collecting, but I don't want to spend too much energy/money on it, in the end, to me it's just a hobby. There are way more important things to spend money on. I have never bought any over-priced item so far and I would like to continue doing so. And I think I did a very good job at mostly buying life size items and true maquettes from those movies which gave me the most impact during my childhood. There are of course a few grail pieces which I would like to have but simply way over my budget, like the dog alien maquette, maybe queen facehugger, so if any new company will redo them, they have my money.

Why there were so many collectors suddently sold their entire collection? Balance is important.

But again if I were this type of rich, I will track down EVERYTHING!

Don't understand your issue?

We've been told that CP are making a P1 Bust.
We're looking forward to it.
End of.
No one is demanding they make a P1 or copy the SS piece.

Also the British secondary market is very different to what you are seeing.
The last one was unboxed, had damaged quills, and he wanted £1,500 ($2,000ish).

I'm just trying to say the requiring everyone has to track down their dream piece at any cost doesn't make any sense. People are all different, but I believe most collector want is affordable price. So I'm all with coolprops to make a new P1.

And in a likelihood you probably could've add a couple more hundred quid on shipping and customs fees to get it here.

A true collector would try to get something old and valuable in great condition. It's the thrill of the hunt to get it. Instead of buying a P2 or P1 maquette that you may have or will complain about 1 million time, use that cash to collect a grail or Gem you want.

If I'm lucky enough to fund a cool props edition of the P1 bust I will bite. I love collecting.

Not saying you guys aren't true collectors. So I understand your position with it being too expensive. But it's fun passing on some stuff to get the Grail.
