I honestly don't blame him, it's a pretty bad comic con, it's practically deserted, the big one for this city is Alamo City comic con where Amy Jo and Jason David are attending, I saw Steve and was like damn, that's bad since Texas comic has like C lister celebrities and since he was in SDDC the week prior seeing him there was surprising, walking around there when I got there was like this sucks, and yes I was lucky I got him there since there was NO one around his booth. I thought he was going to charge for the picture but he was real down to earth.

It's funny because I was talking to a former vendor that went there before and was telling me how he was charging 750 for a table and told me it was a scam.

Got the UK re-release of the Dragonzord. Kinda expected it to have an updated box with maybe the gold writing and a picture of the ultrazord on the back like the Megazord got. But i guess this just shows it is just a limited, A1toys funded release of the Dragonzord. The only thing to note is that the Dragonzord had an extra piece of card in the box to protect its horn from warping ( i know its in the black and gold version, dont think i recall seeing it on the regular. none of the ones i had anyway )

I really wouldnt have high hopes for toys r us getting the Dragonzord. If this Dragonzord is anything like the dragon dagger was, A1 toys bought the rights to have their own exclusive run of the toy ( its even factored in to the toy cost by upping it %20 )

That increase and the shipping made it hard for me to justify the purchase.

Yeah, that's pretty pricey, but as you guys said, beats eBay. I think it's cool that it's getting re-released. Hope everyone that wants one gets one.

Those figuarts are the best MMPR toys to date. They look much better to me. Others are cool but not figuarts

My problem is they're a bit fragile. Im always concerned with handling them and such because of that. Also they're a bit undersized, but these new ones seem to almost oversized.

Really, all I want is a 1/6 scales MMPR Red or Green. These are all basically helping the long wait until we get one of those

Which do you prefer? I have the full set of figuarts but have been debating selling them and just getting these new ones

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to collecting, we all know when PR first hit the states, all ranger footage ( footage where they are in the outfits) were 100% Zyuranger scenes, hence the darker green ranger shade, skinny Red ranger did not fit Austin St John's ( Jason ) bulked out body at all.

With that said as a Zyuranger fan and all around Goranger franchise buff, I can honestly say Figuarts is the best company capturing the likeness to the original Zyuranger series in figure form. Keep your Figuarts especially since Figuarts has seemed to put the Goranger franchise on hold or hiatus, all these ranger Figuarts are going to be classic collectibles :lecture

Now for these new legacy Rangers, if you like highly posable mass market ( key : Mass Market ) action figures, these are gems. Are they highly collectibles to own..in the long, I'd say no, are they the best representations to be mass produced to date ..yes.

The joints are cheaply made, nothing flashy but still durable but still feel generic to other action figures, the paint although detailed, still missing the quality you get from Figuarts. The cop out of lack of weapons is a huge factor IMO, not to mention the lack of paint detail on the helmets is another knock on Bandai's QC :slap

My biggest beef is the price point..at $19.99, I feel cheated. I don't think these are worth a tag at that price. Maybe $9.99-$14.99 would have made more sense. But the lack of weapons and missing paint details, I feel that Bandai is sort of taking advantage of the collectors.

Now as a whole, these legacy figures are pure fun to display and pose with other action figures if you choose to display it that way, but by far as a direct accurate representation of the actual Japanese based on the original tv show, Figuarts nailed it.
