I'm gonna go on a limb and say the stasis tubes are way oversized...possibly even 1/6th scale...and I LIKE IT.

Gonna dig up some pics here for this argument...

Snagged the 1/4 Warrior today, from corinthian-express on ebay. He's the only seller with a definite release date (July 15th). Can't wait for this figure. Now I have to find where to put him..

As a UK seller there is no "definite" release date for these products, but yes it should be out around that date. The thing is for all we know they could already be in the UK but they first have to be picked up by the UK distributor which can take a while and only then does the sellers know that it's come into stock.

Without a large diorama I'm not sure how worthwhile it is to actually have the exact amount of Weyland Yutani Commandos...but mainly I just don't want to spend that amount of money right now.

As I look at that image I can't help but see a missed opportunity for 2 dead facehuggers.

I'm not saying it is a bad thing or that people shouldn't buy them. Far from it. I actually love it as they are more versatile. But just to show how much bigger they are...

Side by side comparison showing "mass"/size of Facehugger as it relates to walls of tube. It is clear the screen used tube is a "tighter fit" to the hugger. There is not much room in there. The NECA tube, however, is large enough that their hugger has tons of room (and the neca huggers are not small).

Screen caps with characters 'in frame' clearly showing how 'small' the tubes actually are.

NECAs own size promotional shots. They are nearly the size of the human characters.

So they are large for sure, but large enough to pass for 1/6th tubes is the question. It would be great if I could swap out the NECA hugger, pop in some McFarlane Huggers and display them with my 1/6th squad. If not, they still look OK with the NECA figures I guess.

Solution: The "Glow in the dark" huggers!!! The glow in the dark coating actually looks faded, pale and white in natural light. They kind of look dead actually. Any I don't try to convert to 1/6th tubes are getting the glow in the dark huggers as 'dead ones'.

I like the box art where they imply the marine helmet camera is still recording and capturing the images of this thing in the hive. Fairly creative. Of course they chose the wrong marine...Crowe was killed instantly in the explosion! He would never have been carried off to the cocoon. They should have used Dietrich or Apone as the name on the recorder. (and yes, I know I officially can't simply enjoy anything. Can't help it!)

I took it as his helmet was off after the ammo explosion and was still capturing events in the hive. There's a couple pictures where you can see Crowe has already flatlined and already dead.

...I think we can let that pass since the drone concept never made it past the first draft. Who knows if Crowe was already dead or even existed in that draft? :D

I'll have my series 8 figures tomorrow from BBTS. Ordered 2 Ripley's for the 2 possible looks. Also I love Alien 3 and cannot believe we are getting figures like the WY Commando and bald Ripley. Really curious how the grey Dog Alien turned out.

Ripley's jacketed right arm broke at the wrist when I tried to rotate her wrist and her hairline on her left side seems off above the temple. Not sure if it's because of the bump she got in the EEV crash or it's a flaw - see pic below. I already contacted CS so I'm sure all will be taken care of in time.
The hands on the sleeve arms are weird on my figure as well. It feels like the wrist pegs are soft and not really attached properly. I was afraid the posts would tear if I forced them, but I did get both hands to fully rotate. They do make a loud clicking sound when I turn them, so I'm not going to mess with them too much. Her head is also a bit lopsided, so it's not just your figure that looks this way. I thought it might have been slightly warped (especially since the eyebrow is more raised on her left side), but it appears most of the bald Ripleys turned out this way after seeing a few other in-hand pics.

Hopefully you can get replacement hands for Ripley if you purchased directly from their eBay store. NECA's customer service told me they couldn't help when I picked up a Xenomorph with missing fingernails at Toys R Us a couple weeks ago. They advised me to return it to the store and rebuy one directly from their eBay listing (for $10 more). Yeah, no thanks.

I also tried using the Kenner Ripley's smart gun for one of the commando's and realized that the Kenner Ripley's hands will no longer stay on at the wrist ball joints. Anybody else having these problems? They fall off very easily:(.
Same problem with my jumpsuit Ripley from Series 4. It's very hard to get both hands to hold the flamethrower without the right one becoming detached.

More dogs added to my ceiling/walls... Love these!

That's pretty cool way of displaying them. How are you keeping them on the walls like that?

I want to hang my aliens on the wall to scare mum with. Which will guarantee no dinner for me for a week. :lol

Quite clever with the use of their camera feeds to see the rare albino alien. Makes me wonder if it was all send back to WY on earth and they got more info on the hive lifecycle than even the marines and Ripley realised.

As for the Albino he looks pretty cool but I still wonder how they are going to package it for retail with that tongue appendage ? Have it already equipped or have it hidden on the side ?
