Well, I'd put my money onto Cell games version, but without discarding other possibilities.

I can't imagine them updating the Cell Saga Super Saiyan Gohan unless Tamashii Nations get extremely detailed.

I don't think they would name it Great Saiyaman version if he doesn't have the cape and helmet. Super (Saiyan) Vegeta showed that naming a release the same as a previous one is acceptable.

I'm not sure it would be a remake but I'm also not sure which other Super Saiyan Son Gohan is "iconic" enough to continue the theme of the 2.0 releases.

i hope you are right coz i love the great saiyaman gohan outfit, i even made a custom on it

and still i hope an official release. its just i think Bandai never think in our ways,
they just want to make money and re-do the popular character in every series (such as kamen rider, ultraman, gundam...)

What if it ends up being tracksuit Gohan to continue the Super theme? I know everyone just looked at me with a death stare but hear me out: Gohan is currently training to become much stronger again, and Tamashii has to have been told future events in Super if they want to continue making figures based on it in time, correct? Maybe Gohan fights in the universal tournament and THATS the version coming up?

Another ssj Gohan? Hmmm. I'd be sort of disappointed if it was a normal cell saga remake, although if it's anime colors I'm glad others would have access to him anime-accurate.

I'd LOVE it if it was heavily battle damaged cell games Gohan though! Don't see myself buying any other Gohan anymore, but who knows...

Yep, last we seen he was training with Piccolo every chance he got, Vegeta also actually mentions Uub in the same episode, which tells me the ending to DBZ is wiped out, because if he already knows about him, then the whole tournament at the end of DBZ makes no sense.

How do we know if next months sj calendar doesn't reveal releases for those months then? Or does this just breaks down the releases for the remainder of the year?

They dont skip calendar release dates, its always in order Nick.

You didnt show the comparison with the one pic that does show it being pretty much identical, which happens to be right above us.



Gohans hair changes constantly in the anime and manga, heck in the anime it looked like this for an episode:

All im saying is that there isnt one "accurate" design for it, Unless we are talking Cell saga to Buu saga changes to hair style, but between animation and drawing difference its never identical. Tamashiis version is accurate to one version of Gohan, just not them all. Trunks is the same, his hair changes too.

That's not a good comparison since that gohan hair isn't identical either. It's not wide or long enough.

Gohans hair goes from big, to small, to wavy, to straight all within a few episodes of the anime. Theres not one episode it looks the same.

Inconsistencies is something that makes DBZ go round. The changing colors like Vegetto's waist band (which was mostly light blue instead of matching his gi), the general gi colors, and the hair styles...though I imagine the hair styles changed due to animation and visual improvements. I remember SSJ2 Gohan's hair being GIANT at some points

Trunk's hair is weird though in those two shots, I think he cut it a little shorter on the return trip but that looks like it should be SSJ2 hair.
