Totally agree, way too pricey! If I had the money 'd get one and have the droid and Pilot standing next to it, probably on a glossy black table or pedastal with a TIE Fighter print behind it

I think the figures are enough for me too. The Falcon cockpit is an interesting piece, but like you said, where the hell are they gonna go lol

It would be nice to have a display area the size of a ballroom!

Or maybe something on the scale of the Natural History Museum in London...

Maybe a few rooms like that so you can spread things out, with a nice little hallway linking them together...

I had planned to get two TIE Pilots to flank the old Sideshow Vader (since Obi-wan will be duelling the new HT Vader), however...one astromech is cheaper than a second pilot. And prettier.

I agree, that sounds much better!

Thinking about ordering this with the current coupon. Seems unreal that a repainted figure takes so long to release though as it went up a few months ago and isn't scheduled to release until September-October of next year.

I'm a sucker for droids and like the paint scheme. Plus it helps that it's relatively cheap.

I like anything that's considered a "bad guy" like this Imperial R2... but I just don't have the room. I need a Hall like that London museum above, then no problem.

I could walk my Hall and admire all my trivial figures. And when they got dusty I would not clean them, I would buy a case fresh new one.

I just pre-ordered this guy with this months code. The same cost when factoring in VAT and shipping as it would be buying locally, but this way I atleast get some RP.

Will probably go for R5-J2 too.

Would be cool to display a black Imperial Astromech droid with some Stormtroopers or Vader, but not at at this price. Still bothers me how all the extras that came with the "deluxe" R2 only fetched a $10 premium ($150 vs $140). And it's a simple repaint with no new costs or tooling involved. That's just ludicrous. This should've been $120 tops, then with a $20 coupon a $100 wouldn't have been so bad. If the con limited non painted version is only $120, why isn't all the others?

This is weird, my account doesn't say "shipping soon" or anything like that, I never got an email and it still says shipping in September. I didn't order until February, maybe there are different batches?

Yeah i think that might be the standard text even if it's from HK. Not positive though. We'll know in a short time.
