I have only VI, VII & XXXIII, soon I will have XLV as well! Woohoo!

I really wanted the VII... but it was just so similar to the VI on the shelf that I ended up stalling until prices got too high.

I really like having very distinct armors in line that create a kind of evolution: junkyard mk 1 to the more sleek red/silver mk 5 to the classic and angular red/gold mk 6... and now to the more rounded, organic mk 45.

:yess: I can't wait for the full review!

Same! :hi5: I'm looking forward to that 40-minute-plus extra thorough review.

Well, at least you know everyone is raving about this one. Can't guarantee that on the 46... plus its a long ways off to be in hand.

I don't think even the Ant-Man figure was this universally admired.

The Mark 46 figure has a lot to live up to. I like this armour/figure because of its sleek, form-fitting, curvy and organic look. It's a shame that we won't see this armour in action again.

Well that's a crap review. I got about two minutes in and after all the incorrect reviews of features and items it was done for me. Am I missing something or do these people not realize that when you edit a video, which this clearly was, you should focus MORE on content and less on making it pretty?

He said its was 80% diecast. That not even remotely close. 40%ish is more accurate. He started on the "standard" waist articulation...I think his exact words where "standard, nothing special". Which is again wrong. This has an entirely new design for the waist articulation. And that is where I stopped. So he reviewed three things to that point...the box. He got that mostly right. Lol the diecast content. Total miss. And the waist articulation. Total miss. Can't call yourself a reviewer if you can't get the simple things right. It's a shame, because someone's gonna watch it and take that as gospel.

I actually fully agree with you on that one. Seemed unfairly negative throughout. It's a shame, his videos all use to have a very upbeat and thorough format but lately it's been the total opposite.

well the chest plate falling off is kind of concerning. The clean one fell off when he taps it and the battle damage doesn't stay on at all. I hope this is not a common issue.

I stopped watching that guys reviews when he and his mate were ranting about all the recent "reprints" of hot toys figures because it would make their figures worth less on the secondary market. They keep talking like hot toys has a machine that farts these things out whole. Like no work needed done. Ping. A new mk 45. Ping. Another one. Every chewbacca made needed to have that hairy body made. With everything that goes into making a hot toys figure, the fact they make more just adds to their workload. But it pays for the next figures in a way too.

The mark 7. It's an awesome figure, but I've had it for long enough that it's no longer enough to keep me away from this die cast beauty.

yes it certainly is.

The VII was my first too. It's a great figure, but it does feel a little flimsy and I do miss the diecast feel. Plus the leg articulation is very outdated now. Can't wait to get the 45!

it was my first armor as well. i still like it, but i think it's begging to be upgraded. like you said, it could benefit from a little more leg articulation (extending hips or pull down legs) a crotch piece that isn't rubbery plastic, a little more ab crunch, better shoulder articulation, get rid of the rubbery elbows.. and maybe some diecast lol.

you're right.

but to be fair, he did eventually figure out the ab articulation lol. he just sort of skimmed over the fact that he was incorrect earlier.

as for the diecast. i think it's difficult to tell sometimes. i'm in the middle of customizing my iron man 3 war machine mark 2 and some of the parts that i had initially thought were diecast actually aren't. but you're right about the percentage.. it's much closer to 40 than 80.

the shoulder complaint portion of the video would've infuriated you lol. he had the shoulders clearly pulled out while complaining and comparing to the patriot and 42.

it's a double edged sword for me. on one hand, i'd like to see more of each armor.. on the other, i love seeing new armors and getting new figures of those new armors.

well the chest plate falling off is kind of concerning. The clean one fell off when he taps it and the battle damage doesn't stay on at all. I hope this is not a common issue.

this is the first i've heard of it happening. but to be honest, i'd be kind of happy that it came off a little easier than normal. not as easy as in this video though. i get a little nervous when replacing the chest pieces, especially for the 42 and centurion.

i'm so excited for this. i wonder if my weakness will get the best of me.. i can really see myself getting at least one more armor between now and the time of its release. probably snapper, peacemaker, or tank. i really want to like bones.. but that torso just kills it for me. in every photo that i've seen, the torso just looks a little weird (to no fault of hot toys).. we'll see, maybe i'll warm up to it.

I have three of them and it's not an issue on any of mine

Agree with what most of you are saying. Getting the simple things wrong and making incorrect factual statements makes me cringe.

The whole chest piece issue would ruin the figure for me though. As would the heel armor falling off. If that were my figure it would be on its way back to SS asap, though I'm assuming he got it from an overseas seller so he's SOL. However, if there was some unfair bias stemming from that, I could somewhat see where his negative tone was derived from.

As far as his discussions with the other guy? Yeah, I mostly just skip those. I don't even understand why Danoby does videos with him. Benjamin just comes off as a condescending POS who's "too cool" for everything.

I do like Danoby's videos from a visual standpoint though and used to appreciate his opinions up until these last couple months where it seems his buddy is rubbing off on him.

I've heard that sentiment from a handful of people. Maybe he should go back and watch what he was doing before and stick to that I guess. I hate to pile on the guy..he actually seems like a nice dude.

I never used to watch reviews but the last few months I got curious after a discussion I had with someone that was using a ton of incorrect info and rumor and was dead set on it being true. I eventually asked where he got his info and he said in the reviews. So I started watching a few here and there. They all seem to slam these figures while both (usually) selling them and displaying dozens of them. I get pointing out things you think others may want to know, but it seems to be over the top sometimes. Maybe it's just me. Anyway...

timothyr-so he had an issue with the shoulders too? I didn't get that far I guess. But your completely correct that it would have irritated me. Lol

Username-you are spot on. I think most people have no idea how hard it is to make these. Just be issue they are "toys" people seem to write them off as easy. And they really are not. It's a complex process.

i think some people forget that they need to be careful with these figures. especially the little moveable articulation pieces (hips and ankles).

if that were mine, i'd probably just do what he did. i've had one of the gauntlet pieces of my mark 7 pop of its loop. it took two seconds to super glue it back in place and i haven't had a problem since.

that's also one of the reasons that i love that the gauntlets are attached to the hands.

i don't think i'd be able to exchange something i broke on my own. if it arrived broken, fine, but if i did it, i don't think i'd feel right returning it.

Yeah I should've clarified. I would definitely bring up the issue with SS if my chest piece was that loose. As for the heel though, I'd be pretty upset if it came like that. If it were my fault though, I'd be upset with myself and not HT. Either way, a simple glue scenario like that would be something I'd just take upon myself.

agreed.

i wonder if perhaps he just wasn't finding the sweet spot?.. or maybe it really is that loose.
