I pre-ordered this figure on day one and I'm really looking forward to it but I have a few nitpicks.
The head sculpt is nice but does not quite capture Cavill's features.
The nose is too big and the face too narrow, not by much of course but it's there.
The eyes are not quite right either, the MOS sculpt was a better likeness in my opinion.
On the body the added muscles are nice but the thunder thighs are too much, they only look good from certain angles.
Finally, the texture of the suit is too pronounced for the scale, I liked it better on the MOS suit.
None of this will spoil my enjoyment of the figure and for once the cape looks great out of the box but there's room for improvement on future Superman figures.
Overall I think the Christopher Reeve and MOS figures were more faithful to their model than this one.

The people bashing the BvS Superman and preferring the MOS version don't realize how screen INACCURATE the MOS HT suit is right out of the box. Puffy cape and unmodified collar mod makes the BVS Suit look a lot better.

Well, this one, as awesome as it is, is also completely inaccurate. It would require a full suit repaint to look accurate. It's a fantastic looking figure, so I don't understand how they could get the color so wrong. But the sculpt, cape, piping, boots, muscles, well everything else is top notch!

To be fair, it's a great figure, but the first one was too. I love both, both with their glaring inaccuracies.

I emailed Timcent about this figure and he said it'd be a few weeks before he can get hold of the standard version. I'd rather wait and save the money, personally, don't really want to be paying extra for an accessory I don't want.

I actually like that kryptonite - but i'm sure there will be cheaper options available via ebay soon enough.

The EX costs more? I thought they end up being the same price, you just get the bonus accessory if you order earlier?

Well guys, Superman arrived today, and it's incredible. I do think there's something about the eyes and the nose. I reckon the eyes are slightly too large for the face. And likewise, the width of the nose is off. But overall, in my own opinion, this is still a better final product than the MOS figure(Although i will never get rid of mine).
I tried to get pics in natural lighting, with shadows like a person's face would have and this sculpt is phenomenal. Although not everyone will agree, i love this one.
I got some closeup details to show the lessons HT have learned from the chainmail on the first one.
Enjoy.

That looks excellent, Username. I can't wait until Sideshow gets this.

I hope someone tries to put this cape on the MOS. If it works, I'm gonna get an extra cape and do it on mine.

To be honest, even though this cape is double skinned like the MOS one, it's faaaar closer to Tony Meis than the HT MOS. The way it folds and drapes, i can imagine only the diehards will get Tony's cape for this one. I will *only* remove the cape from this one AFTER i have the Tony cape on order(If he does one). But my own MOS figure has had the collar lowered and is sporting a Tony cape also, so i doubt i'd put this cape on the MOS.

jaw-dropping figure- i can't say enough how excited i am to get mine...

Even these images convey half of how amazing it is in hand. I tried my best to get angles that helped flatter the figure, but almost every pose does. And although there are small niggles, in natural light and with decent shadows, the head is incredible.

I never got around to getting Tony's MOS cape, so that's why I'm interested in getting a parted out cape. It's bound to be cheaper and as you said, looks almost as good. The way it drapes and folds is fantastic. The MOS stock cape is bad, it flares out like bell bottoms lol.
