Captain America Civil War: Figure Discussion

Mmm perhaps they will release the NA figure as an exclusive variant as a summer exclusive or something and then the CW version will be released.

Surely they would have known the costumes weren't going to be exactly the same, so it seems a bit of a waste to have made that NA proto to then just scrap it for the CW one. But I guess it wouldn't be a big money loss for them, so they might just do that.

I think these movies are all a bit close together really, considering CW will be released only 1 tear after AoU and Ant-Man was released after that.

I initially didn't like the CW suit, bit it's grown on me, so I'll be happy with that one. But I do hope they release both, even if they leave NA for further down the track like TWS Nick Fury. I'll be buying both so I'm not really fussed which comes first, but I do think they'll do the CW look first simply because that's the next look to appear on screen.

So the AoU Cap was the sell out figure for Age of Ultron (so far), what do you think will be the sell out for CW?

I'm thinking Spidey and Black Panther are going to be the most popular with being new characters and having awesome costumes.

I see Vision, Hawkeye and Bucky being slow sellers.

I think Bucky will move well considering he's only the second shot at this character and there are people who missed him last time. We Just had a Hawkeye and I feel like he might not move as fast. Vision I really can't see people dying to have since he's so similar to the last one unless he comes with some really cool extras. Of the announced ones so far, I'm only really leaning toward Cap and Falcon. I'll pass on Hawkeye(since I just got one from aou) and Ant-man(I still may pull the trigger on the first one. Debating my funds to see if I can squeeze him in). Bucky is still a tossup. I want him but I prefer the first version which is no longer readily available and I"d have to hunt down for a deal. Scarlet Witch for sure i'm getting and if I can't get aou Vision(for some reason), I'd do this one then. Black Panther and Spidey, I'll only do if they come with unmasked heads otherwise, I'll wait for their next apperances. I never do War Machine because he and Iron Man are always too expensive to me and Black Widow doesn't look different enough from winter soldier to justify getting her again(though I may buy her head on ebay or something so mine can have an alternate hair style).

Waiting to see the full specs for 46. Hoping there's a brand new RDJ sculpt. Also hope there's a full new Tony Stark figure.

Also, where is the enormous hype for this film? Figures are being churned out at a nice brisk pace, but don't HT usually have ******** events with no new reveals on around this time?

Yeah, it looks like I'll probably end up getting both as well. I really do like both designs.

Pfft...those guys are the definition of unreliable. HT might take the piss with Iron Man but when they put specs up you will get that figure eventually.

A game changer for me would be a comics license from HT. I wonder if there's anything stopping them from doing say an accurate 1/6 Extremis Armor.

So I guess all the chainmail promo art is ******** after all.

The art seems to show Sharon in place of Wanda at the airport fight even we know Wanda is there from all the trailers and set reports, with no sign of Sharon. This may have solved the mystery. Perhaps earlier drafts had Sharon in Wanda's role.

Her outfit in the majority of her merchandise (lego figure, minimate, hasbro figure, everything from the Disney store) hasn't been seen in live action yet and I really doubt they would release so much stuff with her wearing it if it wasn't in this movie. She's also in this outfit in the lego videogame.

I personally think she'll be part of the big battle (either the airport or whatever is at the end) and she'll be wearing the outfit from all the promo pics and the merch named above. I think she may be at the airport doing something else.

It's possible, but the Lego sets are rather notorious for fabricating plot points anyway.

Yeah HT should've added a laser effect to the figure or at least make his arm light up
