Seen it and thought it was great, 3 things still really bugging me tho:

1. Lex
2. Why are they having visions
3. Batman killing

Why batman killing bothers you? Did you forget he did already?

Why are they having visions?

The JLA is sending word from the future to Bruce warning him that his suspicions of Supes' potential danger to mankind are on point. Bruce is literally shown what's coming, which is a world where Supes became a warlord for Darkseid after Lois died. That's why Flash tells him "Lois is the key".

They seem to be adapting INJUSTICE for JLA.

what would have happened if she got shot? then what? how did Lex knew she was going to be sent there specifically? Did lex already knew he was Clark? so he was counting on Superman to save her, but did they ever explain why she was the one over there? So the plan was to get Louis to go over there for some reason, specifically her ok, and then the plan was to shoot everyone but somehow Louis wouldn't get killed in the middle of that? and then Superman showing up and saving her and then blame him.... Why did Lex needed to blow up everyone while Superman was there? so I get that he wanted to kill Granny peach tea but, he wanted the public to hate superman by having an explosion that most people could tell was not his fault? and then what??? Turn batman against him? but... did Lex already know Batman wanted to kill him? what was the explosion for then?

What does Lex care if Lois is killed? He just wanted Superman to get in wherever she was to stir the international pot.

Why do they need to explain why she's over there? She's a reporter who's always into big ass stories, OF COURSE she's gonna be in some international conflict, if it wasn't that one it would've been any other conflict or situation. This is what started the montage of Superman all over the world doing good and being a paradigm shift because for Supes politics mean ****, borders mean ****, he's going to go in and help wherever he wants or is needed, no one can really control him so congress is like "hol up, what's going on, c'mere, lets chat".

Lex needed to blow up everyone in there to show the "consequences" in people's "reaction" to Superman, to make a martyr in his media war against Superman, which was of course fake, AND no less important to get rid of Senator Finch since she's being such a **** block, 2 birds with one stone.

Lex manipulating events to grow Batman's anger towards Superman, Wally went kamikaze because of MoS, which is of course gonna be the last drop for Batman.

seems like a lot of convenient things going on in Lex's favor. what if people didn't hate Superman for the bombing but instead went in his favor? How did Lex knew Superman would be distracted and not realize there was a bomb? how did Lex know that Superman couldn't take out the bomb in time and save everyone? how did he know Superman would be thinking about something else? WE knew, but how did Lex?

again how did Lex know Batman hated him to begin with? why was he counting on Batman trying to kill him? WE the audience knew, but how the hell did HE know?
When does Lex know Batman is Bruce? since the beginning? did Lex wanted batman to die when fighting Superman? how was he so sure Superman wouldn't just take out batman right away?

This is all way too convenient.

see the more I think about it, the more it feels like the movie treated Lex Luthor as part of the audience KNOWING things only the Audience knows. almost breaking the 4th wall.
Lex knows way too much to be so sure of his plans, he even knows what the characters are thinking.... wow. what an absolute madman... :rolleyes2

Sounds a lot like many of the comics to me. :huh

yeah maybe. It just really did not translate well. Specially because it wasn't a full 100% adaptation. Maybe Snyder's best work is when he is able to fully adapt something because this one (adapting different comics) feels like a big mess. (maybe because of that)

What's convenient about it? Lex is manipulating everything, there's no convenience nor some Deus Ex Machina.

People are not going to all hate Supes because of the bombing, he's gonna gain some more detractors maybe some sympathizers, but what really matters is that Wally, whom Bruce personally knows is gonna go kamikaze because of Superman.

What makes you think Superman knows what a bomb looks like inside the wires of a pretty advanced looking chair, probably entirely made of plastic?

You keep saying it's so convenient without making a point for it.

Again, Wally? His building, employees, the fact that he's Batman? I'm pretty sure Lex dug up all this information, I mean, he figured out he was Batman, of course he's gonna know he hates Supes then. And it's hinted he knew who Batman was at least since MoS.

He doesn't care about Batman, he wants Superman to kill Batman to show to the world he's not a good guy, that he can be dragged to do ******** things like everyone else, it's a TDK scenario with Luthor instead of the Joker. He states it himself "they need to see the fraud you are" :dunno

But, everything is there, the only thing you have to suspend disbelief is on the fact that he figured out who Batman and Superman are, no 4th wall breaking, just a little attention to the plot.

That's not how you use the madman meme bro.

this was the last review I was waiting for... I wish I saw this before going to see it. i should have known better
the hype got the best of me. never again.

oh come on, thats horse s- Lex knows what the characters are thinking... Lex relies on things going perfectly. he basically reads minds in this movie...

How would he know Superman doesn't have the ability to detect a bomb??? seriously how the hell does he know that? technically Lex should not know anything about Superman's powers, how does he know Superman will or will not be able to save everyone? that was so convenient... we are told why superman didn't notice the bomb, he was thinking about something else, but LEX DOESNT KNOW THAT. and LEX dOESNT know Superman can or cant notice the bomb... come on dont give me that crap.
Lex as relying on the fact that superman was distracted... thats not convenient at all?

Poor blacky didn't like the movie. Time to spam the thread with videos from other nobodies that didn't like it either.

Gaspar,

When and how did Lex find out about Superman's secret identity and did he know Bruce Wayne was Batman? If so when did he find out?

But, everything is there, the only thing you have to suspend disbelief is on the fact that he figured out who Batman and Superman are, no 4th wall breaking, just a little attention to the plot.

Batman, he knew at least since MoS.

Having read and watched several reviews before watching this I do feel the critics and youtube "critics" were overly critical of the film. I'd put it on par with Age of Ultron which had several issues but was still pretty well received.

How? You keep saying this but nothing to show for it.

He doesn't know how they're thinking, you for some reason think his plan needs to go a certain way for it to be successful, and it doesn't.

-What if Lois had died?
-What if Supes killed Batman right away.
When stuff like that doesn't change Luthor's plan.

Why should Lex not know anything about Supes powers if he's been watching him for like 2 years? You think he's gonna learn a thing or two. Do they really need a montage for that? Or is too much to give some credit to the audience? And it's pretty obvious that Superman can't save every one in this universe.

Yes, we are told Superman didn't see the bomb, but since you're going heavily rhetorical, again, how would Superman know what a bomb looks like inside the mechanisms of a state of the art Lexcorp wheel chair?
