Wow! Glad you guys were able to pick up so many awesome figures at great prices. It's not even October yet and we are getting spooktacular 2016 deals. Congratulations to everyone

I contacted them via email on Friday afternoon their time and have not received a response. Has anyone contacted them and recently and received a response?

Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

I used the offline chat w/ them Fri & Sat, and recv'd the response from them on Sat.

No, the error lasted about a day. Late Wednesday night into Thursday evening is all.

I'm a bit confused, are you guys saying that the people who chose a deposit were only charged a deposit? I bought a Chewbacca and my receipt was for $69 deposit ,but it has no mention of an outstanding balance?

Why are people contacting them? Are you the same people who buy something at a store, it rings up 10% less than you thought and you ask if they made a mistake? :slap

No, it seems like the checkout actually took the deposit price off of the total amount. So if something was normally 300 it came up as 231 instead. If I'm understanding right.

:gah: Exactly this. I was hoping it would slide under the radar but it seems like there are quite a few people contacting them about it.

Well now with SS converting Han and Chewie off of the wait list, it makes me even more anxious that these will stand. I'm not going to call them up and ask them, but some absolute confirmation they are fine would make me feel better. :lol

I'm assuming they will honor them since it's been about a week & it doesn't really seem like anybody has been told otherwise. But I'll be bummed if they are late to cancel these and I miss out on Chewie again. lol

So I tried emailing them to cancel my pre order because of the different amount that was charged on mypaypal compared to the checkout screen that they have, Wade didn't want to give me a refund saying that they don't have change of mind policy. They can return the funds in store credit but not refund me the money which is full BS. I didn't change my mind they just charged me more, had they kept the initial price then I would've kept my order.

They already knew it was a mistake, it's a small Co. the pre-order deposit amount was the discount given due to a glitch in their system it was fixed pretty fast the next day. If you ordered and paid in full already, it seems they are honoring the prices. If people want to talk about it, they can.....smh.

If it's about a 10% difference, that's because Paypal and Popcultcha use different exchange rates. You were charged in AUD, which Paypal converted to USD (with a fee on their end). Popcultcha though did their own currency exchange when displaying the converted prices in USD (without Paypal's cut). It's misleading, but anything on their site not displayed in AUD should be taken with a grain of salt. Actually, the same's true anytime you buy something in a currency other than your own.

It is misleading, so for someone who isn't use to this set up might throw them off like myself. I wish they didn't have their own currency converter and just go with paypal altogether.

Well as many, incld. me have said before, most have a Foreign Transaction Fee added too the total, so regardless if your not in AU you will have that added, which is not Popcultcha's issue..
