DBS hasn't even debuted outside of Japan yet. I can understand them capitalizing on it when it's out EVERYWHERE, however the majority of Dragon Ball fans around the world haven't watched a single episode, let alone know it even exists.

Have they even announced a US premier date yet? Does Funimation even have a clue?

Said it before, watch them do majin vegeta as the sdcc exclusive.

I wouldn't put it past them at this point. Namek Goku changed the game in that now retools are actually a possibility for event exclusives. With PC's now being a thing they have to differentiate the event exclusives even more now so simple repaints won't do.

Nappa is probably gone. And that pisses me off because we were told if Broly does well, he'd be back on the table. NOPE. :ohbfrank:

For real, those lying bastards. I won't give up hope. Maybe I'm being delusional but I know he'll grace us with his baldliness one day. One day.

Thing is they always cater to Japan first and foremost so in their eyes, DBS is a thing. Funny part about it is, the Japanese audience couldn't give less of a crap about it yet they're giving them what they think they want. They've openly admitted the international market is what drives the line yet they refuse to acknowledge that in their choices for characters.

Wasn't it a rumor a while back that Tamashii were still fine tuning Nappa and had a prototype of him in his armor? Honestly, I can't see him not ever coming out with this much demand. Maybe they're struggling with something like his price point or tooling, or holding him back, I really don't know.

Shenron is a tricky one since the prototype they showed was gorgeous but so freaking huge you wonder what sort of price point they were originally looking at. If it cost them a lot to tool and they don't think it will sell well, sadly I can see him remaining as a display piece for events and nothing more. I'd buy in a heartbeat but I can't imagine the packaging for that thing.

I don't know how you guys do it. I don't think I can wait for news like this without exploding but here you guys are managing to chat and wait. I feel like I have to forget SH Figuarts is even a thing just so I can chill until the next reveal whenever that may be.

This release does not bother me, what bothers me is that if no releases in June and July (sdcc separately).

SH Figuarts Dragon Ball, are not products with low demand, are the top ten line, they are not expensive, I think bandai is being lazy in this regard.

Wait after August for a new figure, should not be an option.

SSJ4 should be the next release, enough DBS. Since 2014 this prototype was shown and has had an evolution (knees, elbows, body, face, etc).

I have faith to see next Saturday, prototypes shown in Japan TN, but this time in Mexico.

Try to upload photos and videos of the event.
I really dont think you know how figuarts works buddy. A couple years ago we were lucky to get 5 figures A YEAR. You need to have patience with this line, otherwise you are as well not collecting them.

Just plenty of experience with it man. Like i said to the guy above, we used to get very little releases. The amount we are getting now is amazing to us, even if we arent happy with the overwhelming priority given to Super.

No. Don't even kid! They better not. If anything, they should do SS3 Vegeta for SDCC. I could live with that. Majin better be a regular release.

@crisis yes Funi picked it up and dbs starts iirc this summer. Also, swagoku and trunks are normal releases, all dbsstuff are web exclusives, THAT is a clear sign that they've upped confidence in dbz's line, otherwise theyd never go to a new normal release level. Perhaps Z will resurge in the new style boxed normal releases, with new articulation etc.

See that join date? I joined a year after buying my first shf, and for ths line.:lol I think a big difference is that back then these felt like gems or gold to me. But niw that a bunch of them have been made, to newcomers, they undoubtedly feel less rare and more accessible. And then the wait gets harder. That coud be part of it... Then again, I'm lucky, cause they started at my fav saga and completed my holy grails in summer 2013. So, yeah dunno, guess I for one just have less of a stake in it...

All we can really do...I wonder if TFS Abridged Nappa helped with his popularity and if Ghost Nappa was still a thing, he'd still be considered

On release schedule, I agree with Deano. I'm not too bothered by the lack of releases this year but no updates on some figures is a concern.

there is absolutely no way Whis will sell more units than if they released Nappa instead

that same exact half-nude Nappa prototype, AS IS, will sell more than Whis with several accessories. That's how bad people want him.

They cant do that, have a good look at that thing, anyone less desperate will destroy it in reviews etc. they can't be seen releasing that. As corny as it sounds they do actually have a reputation and quality standard they have to maintain as business. Especially one that answers to a parent company.
Also, now that they have gone into post z territory, it's kinda stupid imo to release beerus but not whis. They gave us 16 too (and he clearly didnt sell well).
Maybe if "we" are lucky, they'll hold off on dbs releases after whis for a while, cause seems to me chanpa and vados aren't going anywhere soon.

I'll give tamashii this year and see how it plays out before drawing conclusions.

That said, a tiny bit riffing off Snake, I also feel the reliving of DBZ as a period for me is kinda reaching it's end. It was a fun few years getting totally back into talking about it, and with a lot of hardcore fans, that rocked (the dragon) and thanks for that guys! But DBS is never remotely gonna be what DBZ was in the 90s for me. I feel like not wanting to collect that much, having most of what I wanted (even selling things I thought I wanted), and my kids dream of having dbz figures came true. Thank you tamashii! My relived hype is fading now. Between that and not caring much for DBS (and missing the boat on key releases if I ever would), I think my contribution is probably gonna reach an all time low here.

Not going away (psych, sorry haters), it's fun to follow what Tamashii does and to sporadically talk about DBS. But overall, yeah, my investment in this isn't gonna run much deeper. I'm just out for a few other Z versions of 'the five' (goku, vegeta, piccolo, gohan and trunks). Don't see myself buying anything else anymore...

Can't but hope as many of you get the releases you still crave for...

I just have this aching feeling that they instead used android 16 as the toll for our dear old Nappa. And since he failed, maybe, just maybe they scratched Nappa. Just a theory.

I kinda noticed that trend. Funny if Super gets super hyped/ actually good and to all whom didnt collect the Super Figuarts exclusives decides to like the characters and are force to pay eye gouding prices because they decided to not get them upon their first release?

If their going to use Whis as a seller for DBS then they should of used Bulma lol. He's gonna be like 16. He's their and yet not really a main focal point.

@silrian i wasn't saying they SHOULD do that, I was just making a point lol. Nappa is a more wanted & more worthy character than Whis, no matter how anyone cuts it

Would you guys prefer armored nappa or without the armor? I'd like it to be with armor so it can compliment scouter vegeta
