Well of course, it's a Mark 43 mask (the first thing I grabbed). The magnets are a little different on every figure they use them on. I'm just saying that the relative size and shape matches with Hot Toys magnet design convention. I'm not married to the idea or anything, I could be way off base. I just think it's interesting.

So point is they used glue to force the customers to buy 2 troopers if they want regular and squad leader too. Instead of using a magnet to let customers got 2 versions in one. Yeah, can be. Business is business. Sometimes sadly for us.

I went ahead and made a quick magnetic pauldron mod, and it works really well.

Now I have 3 figures in one. I can take off the pauldron if I want a regular Stormtrooper, or swap it with the tactical vest if I want a heavy gunner or Jakku trooper.

That looks really good. How hard was it to get the paludron off in the first place?

It took a little force (no pun intended [emoji38]).

I have hear of it accidentally popping off unintentionally for some folks, but mine took effort. It took some paint with it and left a noticeable dab of glue residue behind, so I just bought a clean regular trooper chest armor segment off eBay. Now everything is right as rain.

I just bought a Heavy Gunner Megablaster too, so I can set him up as a HG.

Here's my current setup with the tactical vest and the pauldron. I could be mistaken but I don't believe it's possible to wear both the vest and pauldron without my mod.

I really love this figure!

Got mine today. I would not say that the articulation is bad, i say it's a disaster But still, a fine figure.

You can remove it, but it will leave a mark. This figure is pretty stunning on the shelf, and quite potable once you remove the padding.

Officer (red pauldron) and regular is ideal.

That's my current setup too but I gave the binoculars (and hand) to the squad leader. Makes more sense to me to have the trooper in charge holding the field glasses.
