OK. Here's a stupid question. Is your base broken? I ask because mine is broken and the only time the top boot doesn't sit right is when the tank part isn't propped up.

My base was wrapped in extra bubble wrap. It looks to be fine. The entire base is still in one piece so I don't think it's broken like others have shown. No parts on the base seem to move at all.

If converted to USD it's probably comparable to what people in the US paid for theirs. It's the shipping which is the biggest variable.

And no current AUS preorders for Cap come even close to this one.
Actually if I had bought mine from one Australian site it would have been cheaper, even with shipping.

Did you keep a broken statue/base??

Yes. Seller did offer to swap out base but I told him to just give me a partial refund, which he did, and my credit card is happier now.
Maybe so. But you would have most likely received a 'special run' piece. If that matters to you (haven't decided if I really care myself).
Nope, doesn't matter at all to me if they're the same. It's not like the first run had some exclusive that made it more valuable.

He's arrived and he's impressive.

But not without it's faults. A few paint app errors here and there. My shield has a bit of buildup etc, and the snow paint on the boots could've been better (as it's nothing like the prototype pics imo).

Appreciate it. Seems like all the reviews I watch on him show his boot flush with rock formation. Mine for some reason wants to stick up. Whats weird is the metal rod at bottom boot goes in with ease. You have to put the bottom rod boot in first, then top boot second. So there is only one way to install.

I've just put mine together and both feet are planted quite flush with the base.

The lower right foot.

The upper left foot. There is minor lift on the left side of the left foot. You can see the snow imprint from the treds of the shoe. I'm just going to assume that Cap's shifted his foot is all.

I appreciate the pics. Mine upper boot is not flush like yours. I have removed him from the base about 5 times now. I dont see any adjustment. I know the Upper boots square nub can fit into the Upper hole because while holding Captain up I can place the Upper boot Square nub into the hold flush. At this point there is no way to place the lower boot Peg in the hole because of angle. The only way to properly seat the statue is to start at the lower boot peg and insert then lay front boot forward gently until it goes into upper boot hole. When I do this I get a result that is not flush.

This just gave me a thought. It would go a long way towards repairing relations with their customers if IS offered some sort of art print or changeable part for the first run buyers. Just a thought.

But what could you change? The only loose piece is the shield.

:D Yeah just a show of appreciation. Art print or token wood even do. Was just thinking its a pretty small run anyway. Anyways, I was actually looking forward to an MCU Thor from them but after this I'm now thinking I'd stop after the Spidey piece just as a show of protest. With P1 throwing their hat in the ring we're not exactly bereft of choices now.

I'm not protesting, but there are things I'm more interested in from Sideshow, XM and Prime 1, not to mention the 6 inch scale vehicles coming out. If IS Mark 43 had a better pose I would pick that up to go with Cap but he looks cartoonish to me. I'm also interested in the IA 1/2 Mark VII. I'm guessing we'll find out this year if SS will do their 1/4 Mk VII so that might be a nice alternative.

It's unbelievable how much stuff is coming out in 2016.

I've finally got a chance to go over my statue in good lighting and with a fine tooth comb and it's a very, very good piece imo.

As I've mention previously the paint app could've been better, especially in regards with the snow on the boots and tank, but otherwise the snow on the rock ground and tree has a very nice effect. There is only one place on mine where the paint was layered on a bit thick but I can live with it, and if not I may try to fix it somehow.

Now the pose, I love the pose. I know some have mentioned that the shield should have more prominence, but imo the pose is very unique and more importantly it works. I actually do prefer to display the piece side on with him pointing to our left.

The base may seem relatively simple but up close between the rock (which is very well detailed), the tree which is even better and the tank piece, I don't know which is more impressive the base or the actual figure!

The face sculpt is great, I have nothing bad to say about it. Which for a MCU piece is a first for me (well other than the GG Black Widow of course). But I believe and correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the face sculpt as well as the fingers are made out of some other material? Maybe something like what Hot Toys use for their sculpts. Now I wish SS could follow suit in regards to their movie face/head sculpts but with the failure (imo) of the MOS PF I wonder if they'll try again.

And yes I only received my piece due to it being part of the special run. Annoying at first since I preordered with Popcultcha long ago, but since I received it in hand I'm just happy to have received such a great piece.

No other MCU Captain America comes close imo. I still have the Cap 2 versions from both SS and Gentle Giant on preorder, but with the Iron Studios unexpectedly arriving first, I may just have to cancel them.

I can't wait to pair it with Iron Studios Mark 43 (probably special run too).

By far the best Movie Captain America. Not even hot toys come close to this guy.
Wasn't going to collect movie based statue, but this guy is just way too good to be ignore.
I pulled the trigger right away when I saw this guy instock in Australian shop.
Seems like the whole statue is made of fiberglass. Pretty light but solid.

My only problem about this cap is just his shield not really sitting properly on his arm. Is it just mine or that's just what it is???
