I was thinking maybe use the Hot Toys hat on this guy and then use the sideshow hat on my MJ Choi head.

Maybe this just needs to get into the hands of a veteran collector. Lalla almost made it look pretty good.

I canceled mine a week ago. Maybe get him at spooktacular with reward points. The second set of sankara stones doesn't make me stay with this order. Im sure with the regular version maybe ill have him hold one of them.

Neither could I. Was able to get him for $148.00 with reward points so I don't feel as bad and as far as the mass production pics from Lalla's Facebook page if it turns out like that I think it will all be good! Can't wait to see your pics as well!

Hmm, looks like Sideshow is doing their best to minimize the size of the hat, by keeping the figure in as much shadow as possible. Lol
Big hat aside, the sculpt looks good in those pics. Better than the HT Raiders sculpt at least. I'm looking forward to pics from those that get a better hat to fit and a repaint for Raiders.

Yeah, you too Lu. Guessing indy will come straight from china like threepio did. Have'nt received shipping info as yet, but he should arrive in about a week. Will take photos straight of the box and then I'm all in for some customizing

So I wanted to test and see if the hat was proportionately too big. I got a screen shot from TOD and a picture from Lalla and crossed reference the lines over. I know that the perspectives are a little different and the pictures have him looking in opposite directions but regardless after looking closely I don't think its that far off in my opinion. I thought it might even be too wide at first going from his ear to the outside of the brim but I used the exact same size red boxes to measure width and the height and width of the hat seem pretty close. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!
The brim has never bothered me much. It's the width of the bowl of the hat where the hat band is, that looks so over-sized to me. It should appear to hug the contours of his head, but it's a lot wider than that.
EDIT: And by "a lot", I mean fractions of millimeters. But at this scale it's noticeable.

I signed up for UPS My Choice a few weeks ago, and it allows you to see deliveries before Sideshow gives you the tracking number.
When you log into My Choice it displays a calendar showing upcoming deliveries and their origin location:
Just now I see that they've also added the tracking number to the details, so you can get a head start on tracking before Sideshow gets round to updating the order page!

Major major fail here. I am finished preordering human figures from sideshow. They just haven't proven they can pull it off.

I am actually quite surprised and pleased with how this has turned out. I agree that the proportions on the hat seem off, but the sculpt, paint, costume and accessories look quite good. I have no sideshow figures, but this might be my first. I am looking forward to more in-hand photos.
