My SW Figuarts haul from my trip to Hong Kong has arrived in the mail. :yess:

Funny enough the Shadow Trooper was the 2nd cheapest despite being an exclusive.

Excellent haul :fest

I don't know whether to break down and get a couple of the OT Troopers, not a fan of the inaccurate helmets and limited articulation but then again I don't see anything better forthcoming.

Did anyone canceled their pre-order of Phasma after watching TFA?

I suspect there's going to be a lot of people trashing that figure on the aftermarket...

I pre-ordered one on HLJ but haven't paid yet. I'm going back and forth on whether to cancel or not. It's not that I don't want a Phasma figure, it's that the Bandai kit looks MUCH better with the chrome finish and both hard and soft capes. I may just pay it and if I don't like it, I'll just sell it.

Regarding the character, I wouldn't hold off on getting her just cuz in the movie she was utterly useless. She's gonna make a big comeback, I guarentee it and then people will be kicking themselves for not getting her.

I agree. Plus some figures like the HT Iron Man 3 Mandarin are what I imagine rather than exactly as the movie showed So my Marvel villains shelf has the Mandarin from those videos but he's really that character in my imagination.

I really wish I could find that Death Star base for a decent price. It always makes the figures look even cooler

You can buy that Deathstar scene? Didn't even know its for sale! hey, do you have a bigger picture of the image in your signature, it looks really cool!

I saw some on eBay a few months back for around 40-50 but not sure how much they're going for now. It's a sick piece, albeit a little cheap feeling.

Considering it was packed in free with preorders of the first run of Darth Vader, that price is really taking the piss.

Finally got my Obi-Wan today.

Such an awesome figure. Can't wait to get back home and see his potential.

So, I just received my Obi-Wan and he's got the mis-masked hair paint that "bleeds" down onto his forehead a bit. It's worse on the angry head.

I'm thinking of gluing a tiny bit of fine grit sandpaper to a toothpick and trying to clean it up (very very carefully). Any thoughts on this? Has anyone else attempted something like this with an SH fig? I don't want to ruin the figure but that paint really bothers me.

A photo would help

Not my pic but mine looks very close to this. You can see the hair paint on the forehead.

I'm thinking that, if I am careful, I can sand off the hair paint without going through the layer of face paint.

Maybe I'm being too critical. It's just that, I payed a lot for this thing and justified it because of the awesome SH face paint. So this is kinda disappointing.

Do all of these have this issue or is it hit or miss? I was considering picking one up but I don't have the skillset to fix that and yes, it would probably annoy me also.

I've seen others pics with similar paint but I can't find them now. I don't know how common it is.

Sanding it might scratch the paint. Try using a flesh covered paint touchup

This. I have no idea how the actual printing process for these faces works, but it may be the case that there isn't a layer of flesh-coloured paint underneath that hair overspray. Colour-match the skin to a good acrylic paint and grab a 00 sable brush.
