Anyone else think PG looks way too short next to BG? She is a little lower on her base, but is clearly much shorter. I find that a little disappointing. PG should tower over babs.

I see what you're saying. If I were displaying them together, I'd put something under Power Girl's base to raise her up to Batgirl's level. I used to display Batgirl between Supes and Wonder Woman and didn't like how tiny she looked, so I slipped a book under her base. I know it looks sloppy, but it was a temporary solution that made me happy. If I had kept those statues in that same arrangement, I would have replaced the book with something less distracting.

Quick review (sorry, my phone is archaic, so I don't want to flood the thread with more crappy pics.)

This is my third DC femme from Sideshow (after Catwoman and Wonder Woman) and, while the pattern of irksome QC issues continues here:gah:, she's the best of the three:clap. I honestly didn't think this piece's simpler design could top the presence WW had with her imposing arsenal and hardened battle expression.

The base here, which in diameter is comparable to Catwoman's when counting the splayed chunks of the street she's standing on, improves on the realistic environmental feel of both that stone base and WW's broken column. Power Girl weighs in at a light ten pounds but doesn't feel hollow or cheap thanks to the lack of plastic gloves or weapons.

Issues I was concerned about from the SDCC and recent production pics (the seams on the EX hair and the simplified breast window respectively) are nowhere to be found here. The pose and EX headsculpt look great from all angles, while the reg's chunkiness is thankfully only present from an extreme angle that's only visible when detached from the body. Still, as long as you're willing to pose the cape in a way that matches the windblown bangs, the EX COH accentuates the dynamism of the "crash-landing" concept to the point where I think the regular COH deadens it somewhat and probably won't leave the box anytime soon (it might be the preferred sculpt for those who keep the cape flat, but who'd want to hide that caboose?)

Overall, despite my getting into this hobby through following the likes Mark Newman and Steve Schumacher, I like the direction Will Harbottle's arrival is signalling for SS. The issue is whether the production factories can keep up. The skin tones here bode well for the modestly-attired Red Sonja, but my EX COH came with chips (no missing hair strands from what I could see, just places where the paint either missed entirely or crumbled off) and the longer hair on the reg, which better matches Sonja and Dark Phoenix's, really looks like fettuccine where it tapers off on the back.

I'm reluctant to ask for a replacement--and who knows if there will be any available due to the EX being beyond sold-out--since the complexity of the mold leaves far too many variables for possibly winding up with a worse one. Another weird thing, which I don't think is QC related, is the suit ridging across the left breast is completely flattened toward the top. The paint hides this well and one could easily attribute it to the fabric of PG's costume stretching out, but it's definitely quirky all the same.

My wait list for the exclusive from March 26 is converting so maybe there is a small ray of hope for some of you.

Got number 999 today. Which is really cool, since 9 is my favorite number.

Nice detail on the base.

I'm extremely happy with her If you can't get a EX, just pick up the REG. She is a must have . Nice work Sideshow.

Almost every one I've seen so far has a bit of a lazy eye on the reg. Not sure why they decided to have that portrait looking to the left. They would have been better off if they just had her looking straight like the ex.

Yes, with the regular portrait, she looking left. This is per prototype. It just give her a slightly different look.

It like she just landed amongst a bunch of baddies, and is eyeballing them to decide which one she'll take out first.

I don't have an issue with her looking left. It's just that for some reason the guys applying the decals for the eyes seem to always have trouble with making them look on the same direction. Catwoman had the same issue, although it was much worse with her.

Foot doesn't go all the way into the base. I like the reg head sculpt more.

This is a great statue and I only hope the Supergirl is still a go. Stanley Artgerm did her print but no pre-view or pre-order yet on either 1. I hope they didn't scratch that project.
