yeah, theres little dents on top of the cheek part of the mask

That's supposed to be there. It's funny, because that's a testament to the level of detail HT puts on a lot of these figures. Remember, by the time ANH took place, Vader had already had this armor for roughly 20 years. It's intentionally made with details that reflect signs of wear and tear that were present in the film.

Is there a trick to pulling out the normal forearm on Vader? Or do I simply pull it out? Tried pulling it out earlier and it wouldn't budge.

It will pull out; keep in mind that the connection piece is near the bicep, so I'd hold him by the shoulder, and carefully pull away. You may also want to disrobe the figure and get used to it first. Once it pops out, you can put it back in. I hear a little 'snap' when its properly in place

I wish I had ordered 12 of the Han/Chewie 2 pack when I could. Prices on Ebay are nuts with this one. i suspect Vader will be HIGHLY sought after later...

Just that report of a broken tusk from a few pages back. It's probably nothing.

On Wednesday Popcultcha had 22 in stock, then 15 yesterday, then none today (Friday down here) so they are shifting them in huge numbers! And the Australian wholesaler, Ikon Collectibles, has sold out too.

You do know Popcultcha IS Ikon..
As Ikon is the distributor for HT in Australia, there are other Etailers who order from them.
The prices locally are very good if you know where to look.

Sometimes HT really does put the effort in, as they did with the Sandtrooper.

Shame they couldn't have put more thought into the gloves. A simple two-piece gauntlet, or a single unarticulated gauntlet would have been better.

That Stormie reminds me of a mime. :lol

Great pic, para! :clap

Can I please ask how you know about the actual stock numbers? Is that available on the Popcultcha site somewhere?

But what sucks at Popcultcha is that once an item is sold out, you can't 'review' it after buying it (and therefore lose a potential 50 points in redemption pennies for submitting a review). With all the HT and SS Star Wars items now being purchased, pennies earned by 'reviewing' them add up. Now 50 pennies aren't worth much, but combined with pennies earned from purchases, a review can help to put you over specific redemption thresholds for higher savings, etc. - without having to buy something more to fill the gap...

Nothing worse than having 1488 pennies and needing a mere extra 12 to push you over 1500 (and thus enjoy a $50 reduction on your next purchase). Reviews used to help a customer do that.

I don't think they are the same. Years back I called Ikon to find out if they would be getting the EFX Vader Helmet and they told me they were but couldn't sell it to me. They gave me the details of popcultcha to contact separately. If they were the same they could have just transferred the call or done something I would think.

He ran into the detolf glass and can't get through :rotfl

Seperate physical places, but the same.
Pop is the store front.Ikon is the wholesaler and distributor. So what I mean is, you can walk into Pop. and buy items. So they would have different phone numbers etc.
Sorry for off topic.
I did get my HT Vader from a local etailer here in OZ for $379AUS shipped.very happywith that price.

Wonder if the ESB Vader will have the legs slightly extended? That's the only "physical" flaw of the figure, in my eyes. The gloves don't even bother me enough to dissuade a purchase.

Sideshow and Hot Toys Darth Vaders decomposed into their parts. I havent had this much fun undressing figures for a long time! Doing this has really highlighted to me the pros and cons of both figures. There are design elements that I prefer on the Sideshow, and some that I prefer on the Hot Toys! Neither are perfect, but I am leaning towards Hot Toys being the better overall figure. Full video review and comparison coming soon! :)
