I have a feeling that this Power Pose figure is supposed to be a stopgap or holdover until HT works out the kinks on the sure-to-be diecast regular version.

The Power Pose XLII gave HT time to figure out articulation and I'm guessing HT is trying to figure out how to accommodate all of the lights. Just a theory, no evidence, concrete or otherwise, to back it up.
