Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Well, that's not encouraging...

I've got mine on the way, along with the MG blue suit. I could go with a larger body and keep him displayed alone.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I have to admit I was a bit hasty with my feedback. I still think the head shape is a bit off and some paint details will accentuate the likeness but I do think the head is quite good overall.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Coulson is a smaller figure,

No doubt this head fits a larger body better, but the Coulson figure uses a TTM18 style body that produces a 12" figure - which is already too tall for Craig. If you wanted something to look "just right" you'd really have to go down the mod/custom route , including custom-fit clothing.

I think I'll try my remaining TTM21 along with the stretch mock turtle-neck from the Spectre teaser poster sometime later this month.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

On the body I'm going to try a swap for the regular narrow shoulder. Right now I have the yunsil on the Coulson which is definitely mkre accurate. The eleven head is just a smudge too big yes.

I will also buy the outfit in the above picture just to have because it's unique and looks well done.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Ok, the dimensions look much better in Pix's last pic. I think that while the Eleven sculpt is indeed on the larger side, the iphone photos only exaggerate the discrepancy. (I hope...)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Eleven's sculpt on the DID body. Crappy iphone pic but I'm liking it!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The eyes look brown in these later pics. But that DiD body works well with that noggin.

njlanman, what PPK is that and where did you pick it up from?

That looks great! Eyes look dark though.

body is TTM-18 style "Narrow Shoulder" (aka v.4 generic body)

Bought. Even though its not a very "Bondish" look.

You may have just persuaded me to buy this and use it instead of my bbkill sculpt!

It doesn't hold a candle to BBKill's nor Inigo's in hand. Raymond's photo with that angle and right amount of shadow is the exception rather than the rule for what this looks like. In other words, it looks better in his photo than it does in person. It's also not big, it's absolutely ENORMOUS.

Even before taking the tissue wrapper off it, just holding it in my hand, I could tell it was grossly oversized. Here's the saving grace for some photos (but something that makes it even worse in person), the facial features aren't oversized nor are their proportions and spacing. It's the rest of the head toward the back especially and width of the neck, that's ballooned to a ridiculous level. IMO, that accentuates the rather pointy face even more. The neck is so wide it doesn't fit the opening in a Hot Toys TTM-21, though you can force it and it's about 2mm larger diameter than a number of other heads I have readily on hand to compare to.

The paint application while decent is also excessively dark - if you were making a coal-miner figure this would be a good start, but for an Englishman? Not a chance. Unless some of the other heads are different due to gross paint application discrepancies, the only way he appears with a decent complexion is when blasted with light.

Overall, a huge let down for me, I expected more (rather less :) ). Robert is right, this is, if you have one of the good Craigs out there, one for the bin. If you want to upgrade, you might want to wait until Rocco has a crack at it.

It looks decent in this photo:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I think that like almost all Craig sculpts it comes down to personal opinion. I do think that it looks great, but I also agree that its pretty large in size.

I've gone ahead and ordered the "Agent Paul" figure from Monkey Depot as the price was low, but probably won't receive it for at least a few weeks. I really only ordered it for the tuxedo since I have no use for the sculpt. I'll post some side by side shots of the sculpt with bbkill's when it arrives though for anyone interested. :)
