Maybe I'll grab the Stormtrooper Luke and this, put the HT head on this when he's not wearing the helmet, and use the HT figure as another Stormtrooper.

Seems like a lot of trouble to have an X-Wing figure that fits in with the HT display.
Truthfully I've considered doing the same thing but only when I'm able to get this figure cheap. I'm likely going to use the Luke in Storm Trooper disguise as a Trooper since I only have one normal Storm Trooper and would like more.

That's actually a pretty great idea.

I have an extra HT Luke Bespin BD head I was going to use with the SSC Red Five outfit but it's got that little bit of blood on the temple/cheek. I just want a Luke X-Wing with helmet on, so maybe the visor/helmet will hide the blood.

It does seem like the best option, Mike. Just a rather pricey one at the moment. And that should work fine, TB. Definitely give it a shot and post pics.

Nice clear photos. Looks very nice after all.

The clothes and everything look fantastic, that's the main thing for me. We're lucky two companies are making figures right now. Otherwise it would be rough.

I missed out on all the parts I wanted...stupid different timezones! I only really wanted the little leg cannisters anyway. Here's to hoping TA breakdown more in the future.

I'm on the fence about getting any of the ANH Lukes, but am leaning towards this one... assuming it goes on sale at some point.

I really like the loose Exclusive gloves that fit in his bare hands, but that edition will probably be sold out long before any price drop.

Impossible to predict because nobody knows edition sizes but at its price point I'd bet eventually the exclusive will be 20 or 30 percent off. The hoth stuff has been on sale numerous times and the brown exclusive is still available, the blue only recently disappeared.

Looks like they took the money for Red Five today. No going back now. :lol

Presumably this is going to be another one direct from Hong Kong.

But for me [Yavin] it's my favorite version of Luke as it somehow evokes untold adventures that might have taken place between ANH and ESB in my imagination.

That's how all my sixth scale figures live. I don't necessarily want them to just represent a specific moment seen on film, but to stand on the shelf and evoke adventures I recall from the novels and comics as well.

The version of Luke that filled my imagination as a child was the X-Wing uniform, because it was the one that evoked his travels to other planets, and the adventures there accompanied by Artoo. On nights I couldn't sleep I'd pull the bedclothes over my head and imagine myself as Luke in the cockpit of his X-Wing, and imagine an adventure in great detail until I eventually fell asleep. On lucky nights the adventure would continue as a vivid dream!

Dreaming is more expensive now. Especially at Sideshow's prices. :wink1:

Well said Kuat. :)

Mine has been delivered. Too bad I'm stuck at work right now. I will post some pictures hopefully this evening.

I was 7 when Star Wars came out and of course got these for Christmas (which as you can see I still have)...

And yea, I didn't reenact the movie, I acted out new stories and adventures. Marvel Comics would come later and also inspire my imagination for ongoing adventures...

(lol- they took some liberties with the Yavin/Ceremonial outfit - but I knew what it was supposed to be)

I can see that....

lol - yup, I had similar memories.

Indeed :) but still fun :r2d2line

Thanks for the pics Roc74? Are you happy with it in hand?

looks good there, even with the eyes showing. I think the hair takes away from it more than the eyes.

looks nice with R2 :r2d2line

I thought he would be smaller than Bespin Luke because that figure is too tall, but looks shorter than Hoth Luke too (which I don't have so I don't know if this should be surprising or not).

Hey Jaymas,
Yeah Im happy with the figure, like it has been said before, not to happy with the price increase, nor do I see the value the increase price has brought. But overall the figure is good.
HT Bespin Luke is definitely higher, but he is also a higher base in that pic. My SS Hoth Luke was actually taller then it is now. I had ordered both Hoth Luke and Hoth Han, and Han came with the smaller Body while Luke came with the taller Pro. So I swapped the bodies.
