Black and dark gray is the color of the suit... I don't see what the problem is.

The cape as it is looks great. I like the fact it's not sculpted, no two statues will look the same. You can mold the cape to your liking.

You know I don't mind disagreeing also my friend... I just find tastes to be funny. I was just pointing out that we tend to agree but here we differ by a lot. Love these Head sculpts and don't like the AK one... No issue with the fact we don't agree :)
I know m8.... Yeah we usually agree, but no harm no foul that we don't this time.

A fully sculpted cape would 20-30 pounds to the weight of this, and add a whole breakage issue to it as well. As for the colors that is one of the trade marks of the Arkham Games. They are suppose to be bleak and dull

I get that, but it doesn't change the fact that when you don't have contrasting colors, nothing stands out. Heck, even the base matches the color of the Bat figure. The Comic Book Batman PF has the contrast of the very light gray and dark black costume, the black cape with blue highlights, the tan/yellow utility belt, and a base that has none of those colors. It draws in the eye and makes you take in the whole statue. With the noel statue, all that stands out are the teeth.

Is this more your style?

Now THAT stands out. :lol I've never heard someone talk about Batman and colors standing out before.

I wish the cape was sculpted, and I wish the costume wasn't so monochromatic. Black and dark gray just melds into a big, dark statue where nothing draws the eye. When displayed with a number of other statues, I think this one would fade into the background.

I actually worried about the color issue and it fading into itself. That is what overhead lighting is for :) Plus this piece is big enough I don't think it will be an issue. Plus it's based on the comic / game.

Personally I like the flexible cape because .....

..... this and it gives you some options... If I can get it into the position like the first photo where it is flowing in front of him I will be soooo happy.

Black and grey in a corner can suck... But then you can't buy Vader or Keaton Batman if you worry about that... Got to make sure they are in a well lit area.

Of course :)

Anyway, I still have no idea where I'm gonna put this. I really don't want to have this in the open air, but I'm too cheap to buy another case!

Bro, it's batman. While his character is all about stealth in the stories, he will NOT get lost in anyones collection. Unless he's part of a shelf with 40 other pieces.

Exactly, it's Batman we're talking about. Not trying to insult anyone, but look for an Adam West statue if you want a bright and happy one. This statue will NOT go unnoticed by anyone. I've never been serious about getting a statue until now.

Bermejo has some excellent art, his Batman is one of the best realistic interpretations... Been a fan for years.

The only small issue I have with the entire piece is the white eyes. It just doesn't work outside a comic. Bermejo doesn't even draw Batman with white eyes.

I actually like the way the white eyes look regardless of accuracy. Besides, it means no chance of goggly eyes! Lol I'm so beyond excited for this piece though.

I still dig this statue but must be choosy. I have the AK bats and will get the AK Batmobile, don't know I'f I would have space to properly display this.
