That's what happened to me. I did manage to snag the PKE and Ecto Goggles, though. No interest in the Wand since I'm building my own pack and will have an aluminum thrower to go with it.

I was able to grab all the props as they were released. I don't get the thought process of not selling the trap. They have the PKE and goggles for sale on their website as we speak. The trap would sell like hot cakes.

Progress!

Really love the demon dogs. Venkman likeness isn't better than the Matty one IMO, and I don't see the purpose of the ab-crunch. Just detracts from the overall aesthetic. Slimer seems too small overall, and his arms seem too big, but the alternate heads are pretty neat. The pizza cutter in the background might make for a pretty good 1/6 scale stand in.

Count me in the 'anti-ab crunch' crowd. The likenesses are decent, but I'm not seeing any huge improvements over Matty... I don't know, I could never see myself springing for an entire line based off of the first movie only. It's just too limited. Now a line for the Real Ghostbusters, and / or the IDW comics? That would rock. And it could go on forever...

Yeah, I don't get the ab crunch either. But for someone like me who bought doubles of every figure Matty released and was then annoyed with how they handled the license at the end, I'm very happy to see another company do figures Matty couldn't figure out to do such as the dogs, Gozer, and Janine. I will gladly buy this line in hopes they continue with the 2nd movie and cartoons.

Wasn't Mattel going to do the cartoon Ghostbusters? It was announced like a year ago, but they haven't said anything.

They announced it last year and apparently nothing at all this year at SDCC. Matty has apparently dropped the ball again. The only GB thing I've seen Matty show this year is a prop of the new proton pack from the reboot they go on loan from Sony. However, Matty apparently now has the license for the Filmation Ghostbusters. :lol

New Ghostbusters figures planned + Mattel making a proton pack | GhostbustersNews.com

It looks like the Ecto 1 for the 6 inch figures is coming after all.

Sony has revealed several new products and lines that we can expect over the next year, both for the new film as well showing love to the original.

“We’re going after collectors with blind bag figures at a very reasonable price point. In each figure pack there’s a piece of a particular character, so if a consumer buys all four, they can assemble a separate ghost.” said Mark Caplan, Sony Pictures’ new senior vice president of global consumer products.

“Mattel is also doing a board game and six-inch figures of both the classic Ghostbusters and the brand new movie. The firm is developing a new Eco-1 and the collectable characters can fit into the car. Mattel is also creating the Proton Pack. What kid would not want to throw that on?”

Is it the old or new Ecto? It doesn't really say. Same about the pack.

I really hope it's all from the original because I have zero interest in anything from the new movie.

They're releasing 6 inch "classic" figures and new figures from the new film, so they'll probably make both vehicles, a la Adam West Batmobile from the 6 inch line.

I wonder if Mattel is going to do new figures, or re-releases/variants of the existing 6 inch classic figures?

Well, it's Mattel, so they'll probably reuse as many parts as possible. But who knows? All I care about is the Ecto I for the 6 inch figures I bought a while ago. I'll still get the Diamond Select figures this year, but I doubt they'll make a vehicle for them.
