I wasn't originally planning to get this, but couldn't resist when I saw the first in hand pictures last week or or so. Now, seeing these pics I am still so glad I have this on order. I can't wait till they start shipping in the US. In the mean time I am going to enjoy all the great pictures like these!

By the way, I think the head sculpt looks fantastic!

I know he's a popular figure, but the outfit isn't one of my favorites so having two wasn't doing it for me, plus if they do a re-release I'll take my chances that they do the standard version and I can have a look again then, without PERS too.

I'm thinking of keeping the battle damaged Luke and selling off the clean one, looks a bit too similar to the Tatooine Luke and just don't want 100 Luke figures.

Makes sense not keeping two Bespin Lukes, When I got mine years back I thought for sure I would sell one, but never got around to it. However, if I sell one it would be the battle damaged one. I like that there are similarities between the Bespin Luke sculpt and the Tatooine/Trooper sculpt(s). The new one(s) seems to look noticeably and appropriately younger than Bespin; which is what I would want. Luke is the only character I plan to buy different versions of and I'd like to have one from each movie to capture the "heroes journey". So I very much would like the sculpts to look like the same person with only a difference of age (aside from whatever we can attribute to the car crash/"wompa attack") between them.

That makes sense, and I think they did a good job of that with Tatooine vs Bespin, in terms of looking like the same slightly stylized Luke progressing from one to the other. A couple people were convinced it was the same sculpt but it looks different enough to me. The Bespin figure often just seems like he has a wide-eyed look of shock/disgust to me--not sure what it is about it. It's still amazing, but we're getting all these OTHER amazing figures too. Can't have them all or I'll feel like a hoarder in my small apartment.

The mouth still has that 'puffy' look but it's not that noticeable really. The detail is fantastic.

Looks great, Para! That 3/4 profile angle there at the end is outstanding. Think you'll be keeping him? I may replace my short trooper with this Luke, or maybe just keep both.

.... unfortunately. Another $230... gotta keep saying "it's just farmboy Luke head on a stormie body, and I've got both in-hand or on order."

For $70 maybe--that's what Han went for on Toy Anxiety. Plus Luke has a couple nice goodies like the detailed helmet interior and the binders for Chewie.

...and don't forget that putting a Farm boy head on the short Stormtrooper will not have a skin color neck either.

I don't have the short Trooper, and I am glad I didn't get him because I like the way the armor fits better on Luke and so I think he will make a better short trooper too.
