A bit too early. I have Ben pre-ordered at BBTS, but a $20 discount code would persuade me to switch it to SS. That and the likelihood of receiving it earlier.

I'm actually considering canceling the SS order and reordering thru BBTS in order to spread the payments out on Han, Chewbacca AND Ben.

In my case, being in Cali, there's literally no difference in savings ordering thru BBTS or ordering thru Sideshow with a $20 off coupon. That said, I don't have a coupon on Ben because of the NRD.

I think it's actually cheaper than ordering through Sideshow. The only downside is that I won't get it the day after it ships, and I wind up with more packaging I have to throw in the trash.

Mines on flex and last payment shifted to january 5 although on han chewie pack they let me pay early and received on sept 10

Thanks for sharing. I'm pretty sick of having 18 different stand styles in my collection, apparently you're not..... I also prefer to not be shoe horned into one specific scene for display.

Nobody says you are "forced" (pun intended) to display him with it. Just saying it would make a nice mini-dio for those who wanted to display him with it but I'm pretty damn tired of every Hot Toys Star Wars figure coming with the Death Star grate stand.

Had a little photo shoot with Ol' Ben and Chewie today. I know there's a few detractors here, but IMO this figure is outstanding. It may not be a perfectly captured Alec Guinness, but it's absolutely 100% Obi Wan Kenobi.

I love what Hot Toys did with the robe and wish they'd use this fabric for all of their capes moving forward. It just drapes amazingly well.

Wha? What? What does the tractor beam floor look like? Anything memorable? Or did you mean THE WHOLE tractor beam?

Well, it doesn't make much sense for him to come with the prison block grates as a stand, other than being consistent with the other figures.

got the processing notice that i will be charged Thursday, so if history repeats itself from my previous 3 orders from sideshow, i will have old Ben on Friday

If so, I might just do that. I really want to like this, but if it is a let down in hand.... not sure how I would feel displaying a figure I don't enjoy just to have my display feel complete....

Actually looking forward to your thoughts on the figure (you have it through SSC right?), so if pics sway me I will order it through SSC. No NRD since it will be in stock and I am okay taking the loss on shipping. If only they nailed the sculpt... I would have no concerns...

Yes, from SS, however there is a very strong chance I will cancel and order from BBTS as well to save the on tax and ship.

If the monthly coupon shows up in the next day or two, I may keep my order with SS as it will be closer to a wash.
