Hmmm ...

Loving the cart! (Is it just a toy show display or will it be for sale?)

Not crazy about the ill-fitting hat. But it's still early days. Hopefully that gets adjusted. If it doesn't, I won't be too fussed. I'll probably be posing him without it anyway. (He also needs more - and curlier - hair.)

Eager to see more ...

It's tough to go by one picture, but yeah, that hat isn't sitting right--it looks more like it's sitting on top of his head than down on it. The base of the peak should be wide enough for his head to fit in. If it was further down on his head that'd probably make the angle of the brim is less severe, like this:

Pretty sure the hat would have been a rush job to get ready for the show. I mean it seems like they've decided to change his hair to real hair last minute so that means they would have most likely needed to change the hat as well. Freaking love that cart though!

It's on the Sideshow figure, too, but the color is more muted so it's not quite so noticeable. It's on the pant cuffs of the costume, which are under a couple of other layers, so you never really get to see that detail in the movies.
Huh, how fantastic; I never owned the SSC figure, so I had no idea. 14 years later and I'm learning new things about the film designs. Thanks for the insight.

I agree completely. While I think the hat needs some work, it would look a lot better if properly positioned. One of the idea I had thought of was make the hat out of the same semi-rigid felt you find Halloween buckets for kids made out of. I don't know how they do it, but it seems like that material can be pressed into shapes without any stitching.

I also really never took note of how big the wizard hat is until I looked at those images you posted there.

That is pretty cool.kudos Asmus if it is for sale.
GtG needs to move over a little for when Master Frodo comes..

im guessing the cart is a separate thing? i really just want the figure and would hate to pay extra cash for a cart im not gonna use.

I hope they do a bundle deal where you can get the horse / cart / figure in addition to getting the figure by itself.

I know this is still in development, but if they could just make that hat 15-20% bigger so it could sit lower ... it'd make a world of difference.

Loving that cart! It actually looks like it's made of wood and wicker! Interesting. I wonder if that means it's a one-off show-only display and not for sale?

Being that it has a tag I bet they are going to offer them for sale. It would be a bad idea to only make it a box set deal though. Everything will be sold individually and there will be a special price for the whole shebang I would imagine.

Ooh. There's a tag? I haven't seen one in any of the pics so far. (There is what looks like a "don't touch" sticker in the longer pic with the horse.) What does the tag say? Are there any pics of it? I'd love to know more info on this piece!
