I love this thread. Great collection, great display space.

That's what this hobby is all about mate :) its great that everyone has opinions cos if we all liked the same things then everyone's collections would'nt be so unique :) Yea, i've pretty much owned all the Iron Man lifesize busts at one point or another and although Iron Patriot is a beast for sure, i just could'nt justify Sideshows price surge from say what it cost for War Machine or the MKIII busts (arguably the best busts from the entire line) which was around $699 and upping it to $1K :( I mean the Arc Reactor detail on War Machine is totally killer...yet Sideshow are charging more for the Iron Patriot and the Arc Reactor is just a plain circle :( So its not so much that i didnt like the actual bust...the sculpt and design and size are so accurate, it looks like as if its just come out of the TV screen. I thought long and hard about it and for me personally, after checking over the paint apps, the detail of the Arc Reactor and most importantly, comparing it with what i've already recieved with my previous busts, i just didnt think it justified the $1K pricetag :(

P.S. You definately need the MK42 Lifesize bust now to display alongside IP!! :yess:

Yeah i get that. Iv not owned the war machine so I cant really compare but yea, the arc reactor is a little plain. I did have the mk3 and I had the very rare mk2 by sideshow and they were real nice but if i compare this to them, id say this is better and I paid more for those busts at that time so my situation in terms of when i purchased and what i paid probably differs. For me tho, this ticks all the right boxes in terms of paint, sculpt, pose, size and weight, especially weight lol. Man he's a heavy bugger isnt he . DId you keep yours? Yea that mk42 looks real nice. Iv heard hes quite a bit lighter tho. Looks massive with those shoulder bells. The avengers iron man lifesize bust has really grown on me but I just wish that yellow ish face plate wasnt yellow. I may still get it tho :)

I do value your opinion tho. You are mr iron man and if im ever considering an iron man piece, I always check your thread to refresh what your thoughts are :)

:) Sadly i sent mine back for a refund Matt :( and it was a shame as like i mentioned, i was collecting the line of Iron Man LSB's along with some cool custom ones too. I've since sold the majority of busts now and am left with just the MKIII clean version as i'll keep that to display with MKIII LSF (when i eventually get round to displaying my stuff) :lol :lol Contrary to the early criticism of the MK42 bust, i actually quite like it. Looking at the shoulder bells makes me wish they'd designed all their busts that way :( Again, i would'nt pay $1K for it but if i did have Iron Patriot then i think the two would display perfectly together (obviously from the same movie) ;) and i've seen one or two listed on ebay for less than retail so maybe something to think about ;)

Thats a shame although I would have thought ud have the 1:1 full suit by now ;) That would be epic for me. One day maybe. Yea iv seen that mk43 at a very good price recently. Would look great together. Iv always like the Iron Man Mark VI Legendary Scale Bust . I know it has bad faults but the pose and front plate coming off is awesome. Its quite hard to get now tho. For me, that should have been 1:1 .

Ah man lol that is tempting. Iv just splashed out for a statue today... how much are you looking for ? Im not sure i can get it but will give it some thought :)
