Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

If I like it enough I will too.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Alex is a girl, I thought it was the guy who did the most recent batman print? I think what saves them from any legal trouble is that it didn't say before, " hand signed by the artist."

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

There are art prints... not individual paintings :lol

I love my prints and will probably still buy some.

Nobody ever claimed they were 'one of' painting. That is just silly.

Never even said they were bad prints. Hell, I am not even getting rid of most of mine, I just won't be amassing a collection of these, knowing what I know now.

But it is damn foolish to just ignore that they are not what was represented, which was a signed print. Something that is awfully common in the print market.

Me personally, I wish that autopen was never added. I always think it cheapens it, and would prefer if it were not even there.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Semantics y'all

I disagree. I think it is a pretty big deal when 99.9999 percent of the buyers on these boards actually thought these were signed prints.

I mean, is it more or less valuable to have the same print, but signed by the artist. I mean actually signed, not rubberstamped by Jeffy.

The funny thing is, I bet I would have still bought what I have IF they had never been portrayed as being signed prints. But finding out that what I have is bogus in a sort of accidental way is pretty infuriating. Makes me feel kind of taken advantage of by SS, and I am hardly one of SS's critics.

Your not grasping my point. My point is they manipulated the description to make it appear we were getting a legit sig. Reign it in there bro. :lol

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I just canceled the four prints I had on order because I don't like being deceived. I can't believe Sideshow did this to us.

That's twice today I have gotten called Bro.

Tomorrow I will drink less coffee, I promise!

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

We all got duped, people, cause we didn't ask questions. Every single autograph I have from the Stars we used to watch in the scandalous 1960's TV shows were ALL HAND-SIGNED by the star in my presence, so I know what I got is 100% authentic. I'm disappointed but not at all surprised by this. All we can do at this point is just stop buying them. They knew what they were doing cause no where does it state, "hand-signed" and that's how from a legal standpoint they protected themselves. I got Unframed PG coming next week and I'll get the Unframed Supergirl so I can have it to match the statue which I suspect will be a blast and blow away all of them including Batgirl. And after Supergirl, I'm done collecting prints. When I visit LA I will be sure to visit them and Stanley will have to hand-sign his work for me.

I think Poison Ivy will remain my favorite, but Supergirl looks pretty good.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I just got my framed Batgirl yesterday which is my first one of these and if the news about the signature had come out before it was charged and shipped, I would have canceled. With that said, I'm really surprised that the news didn't come out sooner. I can tell that the signature on mine is not hand done so I'm sure that others could as well, especially if they have more than one print. Didn't the signatures look EXACTLY the same on every print?

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Got my custom framed Batgirl back the other day.

99% UV protection glass and went with a real and black mat.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

When I get my PG I will put it close to Vamps both by Artgerm to compare, but actually no need now since we all know the truth. "THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE."

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

To those unhappy about their prints and think it devalues the print with no Sig, sell me your Ivy/Harley for retail ;)
You guys also gotta understand a lot of people don't even care about the sig but the limited ES and quality of the paint. Hence why I still don't think Ivy/Harley will ever come close to retail in the aftermarket, gotta keep knowing that forum collectors don't even consist of 20% of the collectible world.

So while I understand your concern, SS ain't gonna do anything cause they know artgerm will still sell out.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

That looks terrific. May I ask who framed it for you? The ones from SS don't come with no UV protection I believe.

They're Hawaii's leading framers so I'm not sure if they offer out of state framing

Here's their site if you wanna take a look:
Pictures Plus

Yeah the UV protection is a big plus for me.
