"But these exclusives were requested by PowerCon, they are footing the bill, not Mattel... "

I seriously doubt this.

Isn't Val always crying poverty over at the .borg?

I think Mattel is footing the bill for these.

pretty much....more than likely Mattel is flipping the bill and giving a percentage to power Con

But these exclusives were requested by PowerCon, they are footing the bill, not Mattel...
Obtaining certain exclusives is anything but easy... Have you ever tried to get a SDCC Funko exclusive?
How about Hasbro?
People are just drowning in a cup of water...

Actually customers are footing the bill. By paying nearly ten months in advance and not being able to receive an exchange or refund for defective products customers are assuming all the risk. Do Funko and Hasbro rely on the annual commitment of subscribers to finance their toy lines?

Do people really not see that these guys are totally trying to swindle people?

What's sad is if Mattel were selling these on mattycollector, they'd be a lot cheaper.

Also, the following from the FAQ doesn't jive well with me:

Q. What happens if these exclusives sell out before non-attendees can make their purchase?
A. While we can make no guarantees that extra stock will be available for non-attendees, our personal feeling is that these will last long enough for non-attendees to have a chance to pre-order on August 15th.

Q. Will attendees be able to purchase their exclusives before non-attendees.
A. Yes, attendees will receive a 3 hour lead-time over non-attendees.
Attendee sale time: Saturday, August 15th at 9:00am Pacific / 12:00pm Eastern
Non-Attendee sale time: Saturday, August 15th at 12:00pm Pacific / 3:00pm Eastern

The 2 Q&As above seem to contradict each other. Offering attendees a 3 hour lead time would suggest they will sell out fast, otherwise why bother with the lead time at all? Seems to me they want to make sure all the attendees don't get disappointed, otherwise they might not go to PowerCon. LOL! When most non attendees miss out on these, the poop's gonna hit the fan. Which is why they are waiting until after the sub sales window to do this. ;)

Well, Callix turned out amazingly well. What a nice figure.

Saw those pics on Facebook! Brilliant as ever. I really, really love Calix. He's such a cool figure. I remember really wanting him back in 200X. And then, when it came time to make him in MOTUC, I was worried he might be a little boring visually with the limited color scheme. My worries were TOTALLY unfounded. The 4H really knocked it out of the park with him.

Actually, since Digital River screwed up (imagine that!) and cancelled my subs, I ended up just getting one sub (which is a relief) this year from a fellow collector. So I get them in roughly quarterly batches. I came home from visiting family over the weekend to a nice big box of MOTU. It really made me remember why I love this line.

What a crazy, varied and wonderful group of characters!

I opened Angella first because A) I was really excited by getting her and B) I was afraid of her eyes being messed up. Thankfully, they were not! She’s a gorgeous figure that cuts an appropriately majestic figure.

Then there’s Squeeze - my least-loved of the Snake Men. But man, did the 4H make me love him. The texture and detail on this guy is great. And I love the color scheme and his beny arms.

Blast-Attak is a figure I always thought looked cool (he was Steampunk before steampunk was a thing!) but never had him as a kid. Although I do kind of wish we could see the robot bits underneath, his armor looks great, and his accessories are a lot of fun. I love the material they made his hose/whip out of.

Calix is so chunky and impressive in figure form. Very happy with how he turned out.

Multi-bot is another figure I’d never even seen as a kid. I think he’s a lot of fun. Gummy weapons are a bit annoying when trying to get them in his hands. And I DO think he could do with a few more paint apps, but what’s there is striking. It’ll be fun to mix him up and try new forms.

And, finally, Peekablue! I only half-read most forums these days, but I seem to have seen some people not loving her? I don’t know why! I think she’s so gorgeous! I love her face sculpt and paint and the paint on her feathers! The fan-weapon is awesome. I kind of wish she had another so I could pose that in both her hands.

I have managed to secure a Granimyr and Khan. If anyone can help me with a Red Beastman, it would be much appreciated.

Star Sisters aside, am a completest and I would prefer a green Granimyr.

And yes, those are wicked pics zerogouki. :)

I see the .borg poll results for Snake Mountain haven't been made public. I guess it was just for Mattel to gauge how many people would buy it no matter how small it is.

Well sadly I don't know any one going, I would love to get all 3. If anyone is and has extra let me know.

Masters of the Universe Classics Upcoming Releases « It'sAllTrue.Net

Why is this person calling them He-Man 2.0, Trap Jaw 2.0, etc.? That is not what they are. These are a completely new set of figures in a totally new line, not 2.0 version of the Classics figures. And why is he calling them Club Filmation? That is also wrong. It is the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe line.

He's probably just added the 2.0 for clarity, so that people can see it is different from the main release, plus the way he sets up his lists (which I really like) requires him to be succinct. That is also possibly the reason he has shortened the slightly unwieldy "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" to simply "Club Filmation".

It's actually a really good site if you've never checked it out, although it doesn't get updated with MOTUC stuff as much as it used to. I'd definitely recommend checking out his MOTUC reviews, especially the ones for weapon packs :rotfl
