Nobody posted pictures, but this version of the Delorean has lights at the bottom. The pictures and video I took of it look pretty crappy so I won't bother posting but yeah, they flick the same way they do in the movie. It's a really cool feature.

If it has those lights there's no way this is an add on. It must be a completely new car separate from the one revealed last year.

They better at least throw in the cable hook in the old one to make up this.

Here are a couple pictures I took that show the lights.

I do hope the Production model will also have lit up tires and with the correct lighting in flight mode.

I just got on the payment plan for the first one a couple of weeks ago. I guess I'll stick with it.
But, PLEASE don't tell me that's a 1:6 TIE fighter on the next shelf...

what are you talking about man, the pics came out fine. Little glare but im able to see the lights. But in normal lighting and led lighting which most of us use I cant really see these lights being effective unless its pretty dark. imo.

Ha ha, it is, but I doubt they will ever sell that. It's most likely for display purpose only... It was simply massive!

Also noticed 2 things, Im not to happy with the lack of detail of the back of the wheel or just components missing (shock, arms blah blah) buut cant remember maybe thats how it is in the movie, and 2 doesnt look like those wheels can flip back up. Looking out how far the arm or brace goes out toward the fender the wheel would be sticking outside the fender. But its a hard angle to know for sure, and I guess it could have a sliding component to tuck the wheels in..but doubt it.

If you haven't owned the 1/24 model kits of yesteryear, they incorporated a system to move the wheels out and in. The "shock absorber" area has no springs or the like. It's just that braced shaped. Those braces extend outwards and a t-bar attached to the lower art of the wheel pivot stays stationary, so as the wheel gets pushed out, the lower part tucks under. It's the same system used on the filming miniature and is totally accurate. Even though the original car would have had normal shocks, the hover converted car has been extensively modified.

I had those kits from Aoshima which were licensed to AMT/Ertl back when the movies were still new. I have to say the model kits were the ONLY scale versions of the part II cars that got the horizontally positioning wheels right. I had a 1/18 Sunstar car and currently have the Diamond Select Toys 1/15 scale one with light and sounds, and both of them the wheels just kinda just rotate 45 degrees and are suspended below the car's lower frame. Where the ones used in the movie, and the model kits wheels pushed away from the car outward, THEN folded down at the same time which was FAR more accurate. It looks like the ones on the HT 1/6 scale IF they fold look like how they look on the 1/18 Sunstar and 1/15 Diamond Select Toys ones.

Yeah the aoshima models have a moveable wheel function as do some of the large diecast cars you see made. So it's doable easily enough. I'd be surprised if they didn't do something to get it to sit on wheels.

The lights on this are cool. From the flux lighting up to the under carriage lights it's got a cool look.

Yeah. I would not be surprised if HT have used a similar mechanism and a motor to move the wheels from road position to flying position.
I am soooo glad i never POd the original one now. It was always the BTTF2 version i wanted. I can *maybe* buy both, but i'd want the part 2 version first.

Has HT done anything more than lights and sounds on anything? I'm not sure just asking.

The BTTF 2 DeLorean is the version I wanted. However, I saw another version sometime ago that I'm sure will be smaller but cheaper. I need to think about this and all the other high (or higher) priced figures and statues that are coming out.

Ah yes, the great dream killer=lack of money to go around. Really kinda ticked hts revealed this now. I Preordered 1.0 and first flex pay paid this month. Would like to have had the option to pick between the two, even though I prefer 1.0.

Anyone think that this one will have a larger run compared to BTTF 1.0 Delorean. Despite the fact that I feel both are iconic in their own way it seems like the BTTF II Version is the preferred car by many. Anyone know what the numbers on the Tumbler were?

I think if I was hot toys I wld possible want to give "some discount" for people who want to add Bttf 2 to their initial order of Delorean 1
That way they won't face "choice led cancellations" on other sites where a nrd was not charged!
I know they won't be kind but something for them to think about else they will have a divided pool - selecting one of the two!

I doubt it. A lot of the fans already put money down on the 1st and most do not have the funds and/or space for two of these. I would guess a smaller run for this and BTTF III Delorean will probably be even smaller. :dunno

HT never puts out production numbers could be 1000 or 10000
